27 Different 1974 and 1975 World Football League Programs.

Lot 129. 27 Different 1974 and 1975 World Football League Programs. Twenty-three are from 1974. Created to challenge the NFL, the WFL lasted one full season and most of the second. Despite its financial problems, it featured some excellent coaches – Tom Fears, Jack Pardee, Marty Schottenheimer and John McVay, for example. The league also fielded some fine football players at either the end or beginning of their careers – Leroy Kelly, Larry Csonka, Paul Warfield, Anthony Davis, Calvin Hill and Danny White. These 1974 programs cover about one-fifth of the WFL’s 1974 games. They have a white background at the top, which tends to show rubbing very easily. This condition aside, these programs average ex-m. The programs are for: Philadelphia Bell, Memphis Southmen and New York Stars at Chicago Fire. Florida Blazers, Birmingham Americans, California Sun at Detroit Wheels. Jacksonville Sharks, Birmingham and Portland Storm at the Honolulu Hawaiians. Southern California and Houston Texans at Memphis. Florida at New York. Southern California, Memphis, Jacksonville, the Hawaiians, Florida and Shreveport Steamers at Philadelphia. The Hawaiians (2 different), Birmingham and Southern California at Portland. One issue focuses on NFL players who will join the WFL in 1975. The 1975 programs are for: Southern California at Hawaiians. San Antonio Wings at Philadelphia. San Antonio at California. Jacksonville Express and Portland Thunder at Chicago.
