Lot 41. 1892 Color Supplement Featuring the Brooklyn Bridegrooms. Eventually, the National League Bridegrooms became the Dodgers. Members of the 1892 team are pictured individually in rectangular color photographs that make up this composite. Second baseman John Ward is in the center of the 7 ½” x 9 ½” supplement. Directly to his left is first baseman Dan Brouthers. Others pictured are Collins, Foutz, Hart, Griffin, Daly, Burns, O’Brien, Inks, Stein, Kinslow, Corcorun, C. Dailey, “Brickyard” Kennedy and Terry. The composite has been pasted onto a scrapbook page that has other period items on the reverse. Hart’s name is chipped away from the top of his photograph. There is some minor creasing and staining. This extremely desirable item retains a great deal of eye appeal and value.
