Lot 563. Original Drawing of Olympic Champion Sebastian Coe by Norman Shorrock. Coe won four Olympic medals and set eight world records in middle distance track events. At the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow and at the 1984 Games in Los Angeles, he won the 1500-meter event. More recently, he headed London’s winning effort to secure the 2012 Olympics. Balfour artist and executive vice president Norman Shorrock created this pencil drawing. Shorrock designed most of the World Series and All-Star pins that Balfour produced from 1946-90. Shorrock’s artwork shows Coe celebrating a victory. A representation of the British flag is behind him. This well executed multi-colored original drawing is matted and framed to 17” x 21”.
