Lot 283. Yankees Grab Bag Featuring DiMaggio and Mantle. 1. Two beautifully illustrated postcards from Joe DiMaggio’s Restaurant in San Francisco. Both show DiMaggio batting. One also shows his brothers Dominic and Vincent. One is postmarked 1941, and the other is unused. 2. 8” x 10” photo of DiMaggio on a fishing boat. 3. Three N.Y. Yankees “Part of a Proud City’s Tradition” 11” X 14” cardboard posters sponsored by Budweiser. Players illustrated on the posters are Mantle, Maris, Rizzuto, DiMaggio, Reynolds, Munson, Dickey, Howard and Berra. 4. Menu from Mickey Mantle’s Central Park restaurant. 5. Folio containing two 4” x 5” Mantle color photo prints. 6. Aug. 14, 1995 National Edition of the New York Daily News features: “The Mick 1931-1995,” a 24-page commemorative special. Mantle is pictured on the front cover. 7. Nov. 6, 1948 Timely Events 11” x 17” poster with a “Welcome Back” to Bill Dickey, who signed a coaching contract with the Yankees. Except for the Timely Events poster, which has multiple folds and creases, these items are in very nice condition.
