Lot 448. OAL Harridge Baseball Signed by 10 Members of the 1943 Detroit Tigers. The shellacked ball is f-g with light stampings. It holds the signature of Rip Radcliffe on the sweet spot. On the side panels are Roger Cramer, Roy Henshaw, Virgil Trucks, Rudy York, Jimmy Bloodworth, Pinky Higgins, Don Ross, Dizzy Trout and Steve O’Neill. The strongest signatures, which grade 5 to 5-6 of 10, are Trout, Henshaw and York’s. The others are lighter. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 451. Baseball Signed by 20 Members of the 1973 St. Louis Cardinals. Many of the signatures are very light. Darker signatures are those of Lou Brock, Tim McCarver, Scipio Spinks (signed twice) and Ted Simmons. These signatures are 9s and 10s. The lighter signatures, which grade from 1-3, include Red Schoendienst, Bob Gibson, Bill Stein, Bake McBride and Ted Sizemore. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 452. 4 Game-Used or Signed Official Baseballs. A game-used ONL ball features the signatures of Philadelphia’s Greg Gross on the sweet spot and Ron Reed and Tim McCarver on side panels. Reed dated the ball “5-1-79.” The ball exhibits substantial game use, and the autographs rate 8-9 of 10. Comes with a snapshot photo of McCarver. A second game-used ONL ball has several very light autographs. An OAL Bobby Brown ball may be game-used. An official Bowie Kuhn ball from the 1981 All-Star Game appears to be game-used. Lot 453. ONL Cronin Baseball Signed by 24 Members of the 1973 Baltimore Orioles. Key signatures are those of Cy Young winner Jim Palmer (9-10 of 10), Rookie of the Year Al Bumbry (6-7), and Earl Weaver (5), Boog Powell (7-8) and Brooks Robinson (4-5). Autographs that grade at least 8 are Alexander, Tom Davis, Grich, Hunter, Jefferson and Watt. The other autographs, which are lighter, include Bamberger, Brown, Cabell, Etchebarren, Frey, Hood, Leon and Staller. The ball is vg. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 454. Giamatti Official Baseball Signed by 27 1989 St. Louis Cardinals. Nm ball with ballpoint signatures that grade 9 of 10. Whitey Herzog signed the sweet spot, and Ozzie Smith signed boldly on a side panel. Other signers include: Scott Terry, Steve Peters, Denny Walling, Vince Coleman, Tony Pena, Terry Pendleton, Todd Worrell, Red Schoendienst, Tom Brunansky, Dan Quisenberry, Jim Riggleman, Tom Pagnozzi, Mike Roarke, Rich Hacker, Cris Carpenter, Jose Oquendo, Greg Matthews, Danny Cox, Willie McGee, Johnny Lewis and Frank DiPino.
