Led by two coaching heavyweights, Earl Blaik and Frank Leahy, the teams battled to a scoreless tie. Future Heisman winner Angelo Bertelli was at left halfback for Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish won the rest of their games and finished third in the AP poll. Clean vg-ex program.
