Lot 646. 8 1930s-50s Scrapbooks, 4 with the Memories of One Woman, 1944-52. Two of these vintage scrapbooks are unused, and one has a few recipes and photos. Four are filled with mementoes from the life of a woman who attended American University and was very active in the Baptist Church from the mid-1940s until the early-1950s. These scrapbooks contain correspondence and student publications from American U., travel information, many wedding invitations and related news clippings, and some photos and postcards. Bulletins from various churches in the Washington, D.C., area abound. They provide interesting insights into the religious issues and theology of the period. The eighth scrapbook has some news clippings from the 1930s and wedding invitations and notes from the 1950s.
