 Lot 187. 1929 Ogden’s “Famous Dirt-Track Riders” Partial Set of 12 Different Cards. These cards are both colorful and scarce. Each shows the rider in a portrait and in action. Cards present are #1, 3, 7-9, 13, 18, 19, 21, 23-25. Card #8 is Sprouts Elder, a member of the Motorcycle Hall of Fame and one of the fathers of American Speedway (Class A short track) racing. He won championships in Australia, South America and Britain, where he was extremely popular with spectators. Vg to vg-ex collection.

 Lot 188. 1937 Player Cigarettes “Speedway Riders” Set of 50. This set features color portraits of the top motorcyclists of the 1920s-30s. Among them are two members of the Motorcycle Hall of Fame, Cordy Milne, U.S. Speedway racing champion in the 1930s, and Jack Milne, the first U.S. world champion. Vg-ex with some cards better, some less.

 Lot 189. 1939 Player & Son “Cycling” Set of 50 Cards. These color cards trace the development of the bicycle from the early 1800s in photos and illustrations. It shows hobby-horses, velocipedes, tricycles and bicycles. Ex to ex-m set with some cards better, some less.
