Lot 63.  ONL Feeney Baseball Signed by Willie Stargell, 18 More 1982 Pittsburgh Pirates. Stargell, in his final major league season, signed boldly at the top of a side panel with Ray, Easler, Davis and Dale Berra. Other signers are Chuck Tanner on the sweet spot, Madlock, Tekulve, McWilliams, Parker, Lacy, Candelaria, Moreno, Romo, Pena, Scurry (died 1992), Niemann, Lonnett and Skinner. The ball is likely game-use. Most of the signatures are 9s or 10s, including Stargell’s. On one panel, three are 7-8, and one is less. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 158.  Baseball Signed by 8 Hall of Fame Members – Dickey, Sewell, Travis Jackson, Etc. The Wilson “Official League” ball is ex to ex-m with even soiling and toning. The autographs of Al Lopez, Burleigh Grimes, Joe Sewell and Billy Herman are 10s. Those of Luke Appling, Travis Jackson are 9s, while Bill Dickey’s is an 8-9, and Ralph Kiner’s, a 7. Lot 159.  ONL Feeney Baseball Signed by 11 HoF Players, Maris, 4 Others. Tremendous collection of star signatures on an ex ball, possibly game-used. Signers are Joe DiMaggio, Mickey Mantle, Ernie Banks, Warren Spahn, Ed Mathews, Enos Slaughter, Carl Yastrzemski, Pee Wee Reese, Gaylord Perry, Robin Roberts, Stan Musial (on the sweet spot), Roger Maris, Dale Murphy and Smoky Burgess. DiMaggio’s autograph is a 10, Mathews’ a 5, and Mantle’s a 6-7. The others are 7s to 8.5s. Mantle signed just above Maris. Authen- ticated by Kevin Keating.

The HoF signers of this ex-m ball are Willie Mays on the sweet spot, Al Lopez, Carl Hubbell (twice), Monte Irvin, Pee Wee Reese, Billy Herman, Jocko Conlan, Bob Lemon, Lefty Grove, Don Drysdale, Hank Aaron, Whitey Ford, Sandy Koufax, Lou Brock and Joe Cronin. Other signers are Roger Maris, Pete Reiser, Dixie Walker, Dolph Camilli, Van Mungo, Tony Cuccinello, Babe Herman, Carl Erskine and Pete Coscarart. Irvin’s signature is light. Almost all of the others are 10s. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 161.  Baseball Signed by 13 New York Yankees Circa 1949. Joe DiMaggio is on the sweet spot of this ball, which is signed by two other Hall of Fame members, Casey Stengel and Yogi Berra. Other signers are Joe Page, Allie Reynolds, Cliff Mapes, John Lindell, Vic Raschi, Jim Turner, Tommy Byrne, Tom Henrich, Charlie Keller and Bill Johnson. Interestingly, the signature of Schoolboy Rowe, in a pen different from the rest, is also present. The ball is lightly shellacked and evenly toned; stampings are no longer visible. Upon close examination, it appears that, inexplicably, some autographs were removed. The autographs of the Yankees are in green ballpoint. The DiMaggio signature is an ex-m+ 6-7. Lot 162.  OAL Cronin Baseball Signed by 20 Members of the 1964 New York Yankees. Yogi Berra’s signature, 4 of 10, is on the sweet spot of this ex+ baseball. Others who signed are Blanchard, Bouton, Boyer, Downing, Gonzalez, Hamilton, Kubek, Linz, Lopez, Mikkelsen, Pepitone, Repoz, Sheldon, Stottlemyre, Terry, Tresh and Williams. These autographs are very readable 6s and 7s. The signatures of Mantle, Maris, Howard and Ford are clubhouse. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 163.  1984 All-Star Game Official Baseball Signed by 30 National League Players. Six Hall of Fame members signed the ball – Tony Gwynn, Tommy Lasorda, Mike Schmidt, Ryne Sandberg, Ozzie Smith and Bruce Sutter. Manager Paul Owens is on the sweet spot. The nm-m ball is signed also by Andujar, Buford, Chili Davis, Jody Davis, Gooden, Holland, Lea, Marshall, Orosco, Ramierz, Soto, Murphy, Samuel, Strawberry, Tanner, Valenzuela and Wallach. Charlie Lea was the winning pitcher in the N.L.’s 3-1 victory. Pitching dominated this game, and Fernando Valenzuela, Dwight Gooden and Bill Caudill all struck out the entire A.L. side. The signatures in ballpoint are 9s and 10s. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 165.  ONL Giamatti Ball Signed by 24 1988 Atlanta Braves - Sutter, Glavine, Murphy. The autograph of Russ Nixon, the manager, is on the sweet spot of this nm baseball. Key signers are Bruce Sutter, 1906 Hall of Fame enshrinee, Tom Glavine and Dale Murphy. The ball is signed also by Acker, Alvarez, Benedict, Dal Canton, Gregg, Hall, Clarence Jones, Dion Jones, Mahler, Majtyka, Morrison, Puleo, Roenicke, Runge, Simmons, Pete Smith, Thomas, Ozzie Virgil, Zane Smith, Wine. Almost all of the signatures are 10s, and none is less than a 9. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
