Lot 519. Strands of President John F. Kennedy’s Hair in a display beautifully framed to 18” x 22”. The display features a photo of the 35th U.S. President, a facsimile autograph and two actual strands of his hair. An inset briefly describes his Presidency and 1963 assassination. A wood-grain black mat and light-gold frame surround these elements. The display comes with an LoA from Ryan T. Mack of Minneapolis. A photocopy shows the lock of hair that served as the source for the strands. According to the LoA, the lock was cut at Peter Lawford’s estate in July 1963. Subsequently, it was owned by University Archives of Connecticut. Dramatic!
