Lot 176. 1958 Kentucky Fair Program Picturing Country, Rock and Big Band Performers. What an impressive entertainment lineup! For fans of big band and other pre-rock n roll music, the fair presented the Mills Brothers, Vaughn Monroe, Arthur Godfrey and Bob Crosby. All four acts receive a full page in the 16-page program. For early rockers and rhythm & blue followers, there are the Poni Tails (full page), Clyde McPhatter, La Vern Baker and Danny and the Juniors. Country fans could hear June Carter, Don Gibson and Carl Smith. For good measure, the fair staff also enlisted Dagmar (full page) and Roy Rogers and Dale Evans (two pages!). Vg-ex with Roy and Dale, Crosby, Dagmar, the Poni Tails and Godfrey on the front cover, and Rogers on the back cover.
