Complete magazines range from June 19, 1939 through Dec. 17, 1945, plus one each from 1948, 1952, 1957 and 1960. “Man (now Person) of the Year” winners include second-time winner Joseph Stalin for 1942, George C. Marshall for 1943 and Dwight D. Eisenhower for 1944. Other notables on the covers include Lindbergh, President Hoover, MacArthur, Mountbatten, Anthony Eden, Stettinius, Ibn Saud, General Ridgway, Patton, President Truman, the Shah of Iran and President Johnson.
