Lot 788. “The Big Baseball Book for Boys” + a Seldom-Seen Promotional Die-Cut. Published in 1931, this baseball primer, written “for boys - big and little,” has an introduction by Ty Cobb. It contains pictures of him, Babe Ruth, Walter Johnson and others. First edition, vg book, no dj. While the book is somewhat available, the die-cut promotional piece is extremely uncommon. Both sides of the 4” x 3 ½” catcher’s glove promote the book. It has a small crease at the top and displays as ex-m.
