Winning Bid $40

Lot 220.  ONL Feeney Baseball Signed by 5 Pirates – Stargell, Parker, Tanner, Haddix and Lonnett. Chuck Tanner, Pittsburgh Pirates manager 1977-85, autographed the sweet spot of this ex-m 6 ball. Willie Stargell signed the south panel; Dave Parker, the north, and Harvey Haddix and Joe Lonnett, the west. The east is personalized “To Tim,” with “Sincerely” added. The ballpoint autographs are nm 7 to nm-m 8 with light or light-to-moderate age or soiling spots behind Parker’s and Stargell’s. Tanner (died 2011) led the Pirates to MLB’s World Championship in 1979. Stargell (d. 2001) was voted into the Hall of Fame in 1988, his first year of eligibility. Parker was inducted into the Cincinnati Reds Hall of Fame in 1984, but off-field issues apparently have limited support for MLB HoF enshrinement. Harvey Haddix (d. 1994) and Joe Lonnett (d. 2011) both served as coaches for Tanner.
Winning Bid $25

Lot 221.  4 Pittsburgh Pirates Autographs –Taillon (2), Glasnow and Bell. One Jameson Taillon autograph is nm 7 on the sweet spot of an nm-m OML Selig baseball. The other by the pitcher is nm-m 8 to mint 9 on an nm-m 8” x 10” color photo. Tyler Glasnow placed an nm-m 8 to mint 9 signature on the sweet spot of an Official Eastern League ball, which is white to slightly off-white and shows a scuff on the league stamp and apparent bat contact. These conditions do not affect the appearance of the autograph. The fourth signature is by Josh Bell – gem mint 10 on an nm-m 8” x 10” color photo. The Pirates traded Taillon to the Yankees before the start of the current season. He was 29-24 in four seasons in Pittsburgh. Glasnow pitched for Pittsburgh in 2+ seasons before being traded to Tampa Bay in 2018. After his 2019 All-Star season, the Pirates traded first baseman Bell to Washington.
