Baseball Pennants

  6 Lots

Lot 370.  1950s Boston Red Sox Pennant. This full-sized felt pennant, approximately 11 ¾”x 29 ½,” has a like-new appearance. Close examination reveals very slight wear on the tip and five tack holes, one near the tip, two in the yellow stripe at the left, and one in each of the tassels. This pennant design, with the batter over the stadium, is relatively scarce. Against its burgundy background, the graphics are striking. Technically ex-m to ex-m+, this pennant offers a high “Wow” factor.
Winning Bid $68

Lot 371.  1960s Minnesota Twins Pennant. This full-sized felt pennant, approximately 11 ¾”x 29 ½,” has three tack holes, one near the tip and two in the yellow stripe at the left. Pennant graphics show two players shaking hands. One wears a jersey that displays an “M” (Minneapolis), and the other, a jersey that displays “Stp” (St. Paul), for the Twin Cities. “Minnesota Twins” is displayed in large white block letters atop the pennant’s dark-blue background. Ex-m.
Winning Bid $35

Lot 372.  1960s New York Mets Full-Sized Pennant. Displaying the figure of a batter against a silhouette of New York City, this pennant, approximately 11 ¾” x 29 ½,” is an attention grabber. “New York Mets” appears in bold white script and block letters on a blue background. Three tack holes, one near the tip and two in the yellow stripe at the left, which shows light wear near the top. Ex-m, and somewhat rare.
Winning Bid $25

Lot 373.  Very Rare New York Yankees 1961 World Series-Yankee Stadium Pennant with Player Names. The Yankees defeated the Reds in the 1961 World Series in five games.
