Baseball Memorabilia - Equipment

  9 Lots

Lot 298.  1940s-50s American Legion Sleeveless Wool Baseball Uniform Made by Wilson Sporting Goods. Vintage steel spikes accompany the uniform, which identifies the “Clayton Shoe Co.” as the American Legion team’s sponsor on the back of the jersey. Sleeveless jerseys from the period are uncommon. This jersey may have been for a team in Clayton, MO, which was home to the Brown Shoe Co. for much of the 20th century. There is some evidence that the Clayton Shoe Co. could have operated retails stores in the area. In any case, the jersey is size 42 from Wilson, and the pants, size 34. The jersey and pants show use and generally are in excellent condition. The right knee and upper left leg of the pants have undergone small repairs. The size of the shoes is not shown; the upper part is ex-m.
Winning Bid $35

Lot 299.  Cooperstown Collection 1955 Brooklyn Dodgers Tribute Jersey by Starter and a Cap. The size XL jersey is nm-m, unused with the original tags attached. The Cooperstown Collection Dodgers cap by Forty Seven Brand also is size XL. It shows light wear and is ex-m.
Winning Bid $25

Lot 300.  Philadelphia Phillies 1960s Partial Uniform. This collection consists of pants worn by Ron Stone in 1969, and stirrups and a belt used by Johnny Briggs in 1965. The Wilson pants have “Stone 69-26” Set 1” sewn into the waist. They are well used, showing stains, repairs and four small holes. There are no team markings on the stirrups or belt, which is faded. One stirrup is torn at the bottom, and both have very small holes. Stone was a Phillies outfielder and pinch hitter, 1969-72, and Briggs played left field, 1964-71.
Minimum Bid $25

Lot 301.  Mike Lowell 2005 “Genuine L162-Mike Lowell-Florida Marlins” Game-Used Bat. This 34” Louisville Slugger is cracked and shows plenty of battle scars. Lowell’s #19 uniform number is on the knob of the bat. In 13 MLB seasons, Lowell played third base for the Yankees, Marlins or Red Sox. He was a four-time All-Star and earned a Gold Glove and Silver Slugger Award. With the Red Sox, he was the MVP of the 2007 World Series. After his retirement in 2010, Lowell began working as an analyst on the MLB Network.
Minimum Bid $50

Lot 302.  Rob Mackowiak 2005 Game-Used Cracked Bat. In 2005, Mackowiak played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, primarily as an utilityman. This 34” Marucci “Handcrafted for-Rob Mackowiak-MAK3 Pro Model” black bat is cracked and shows plenty of combat with lots of pine tar! Mackowiak’s MLB career spanned 2001-08 with the Pirates, White Sox, Padres and Nationals. His most memorable day in baseball was May 28, 2004. Early that day, his son was born. At the ballpark later, in the first game of a doubleheader against the Cubs, he delivered a walkoff grand slam to give Pittsburgh a 9-5 victory. In the second, he hit a game-tying two-run home run in the 9th. The Pirates won in the 10th, 5-4.
Minimum Bid $50

Lot 303.  One Dozen (12) Unused Rawlings Official American League Bobby Brown Baseballs. Excellent for collecting autographs, these baseballs are in their original cartons inside the original Rawlings box. Assembled in Haiti.
Winning Bid $132

Lot 304.  10 Unused Rawlings Official National League Bart Giamatti Baseballs. Ready to help you to build your autograph collection, these baseballs are housed in their original cartons inside their Rawlings box. Assembled in Haiti.
Winning Bid $152

Lot 305.  2 St. Louis Cardinals Jerseys by Rawlings and a Starter Cardinals Jacket. Both pullover jerseys are white with red and blue trim. Each has a single Cardinals logo on the front and is without a number on the back. The size 44 jersey has a larger Cardinals logo than the size 40 jersey. Both appear to be unused and in need of some ironing. Nm-m. The XL jacket is red with white and blue trim at the collar, has a single Cardinals logo and is nm-m to mint with a Starter small brochure still attached.
Winning Bid $40
