Lot 324. Babe Ruth Hartland Statue, “The Babe Ruth Story” and 2 More Ruth Collectibles. The Hartland statue is an original, from the 1958-62 production run by the Wisconsin company. The good news is that the plastic remains off-white, and the areas painted blue show only very light wear. The bad news is that Ruth’s right index finger is broken off; his face exhibits damage, especially his eyes, cheeks and nose; and his bat is missing. “The Babe Ruth Story,” by Ruth, “as told to Bob Considine,” is the Pocket Books 1948 paperback version, vg covers with a better interior.
