The bad news is that Ruth’s right index finger is broken off; his face exhibits damage, especially his eyes, cheeks and nose; and his bat is missing. “The Babe Ruth Story,” by Ruth, “as told to Bob Considine,” is the Pocket Books 1948 paperback version, vg covers with a better interior. Also, the 1979 softcover, “Mighty Babe Ruth,” by Syd Hoff, an apparent first edition from Scholastic Book Services, vg-ex. And a 7” Babe Ruth doll toy from Hallmark, cloth, ex.
