Lot 273.  1950 Menu and Napkin from Joe DiMaggio’s Restaurant in San Francisco. The oversized menu (10” x 12.5”) from DiMaggio’s Fisherman’s Wharf restaurant has his facsimile autograph on the front. Artwork on the cover shows the “view from our dining room.” The menu was mailed in 1950. It has two folds and edge tears on both the front and back page. The napkin is 4.5” x 4.75” and was folded in half.

Lot 274.  2 1955 New Haven Railroad Broadsides for Weekend Excursions to NY Yankees’ Games. Each broadside is approximately 6” x 10” and folded horizontally. An orange, off-white and black example promotes a June 24 game with the Cleveland Indians. Ex. A red, white and blue broadside lists Yankees weekend games and offers a package that includes two nights at the Hotel Concourse Plaza. Both Yankee Stadium and the hotel are pictured. The broadside is ex with a small edge chip and edge tear. These broadsides will display nicely in a railroad or baseball memorabilia collection.

Lot 275.  6 Yankees Figures and a Plate – Ruth, Mantle, Berra, Ford, Mattingly and Jeter. Ruth is the subject of a two-dimensional paper-on-plastic die-cut from Fun Shots. It is 8” wide, 11.5” tall. A 1979 doll 7” tall from Hallmark also depicts Ruth. Images of Mantle and Jeter are captured in bobbing heads. The 8.5” tall Mantle nodder is by S.A.M. from the Cooperstown Collection. Alexander Global produced the 7.5” Jeter figure as a giveaway for a 2002 spring training game at Legends Field in Tampa. A ticket for the game and a schedule that lists game incentives is included. Whitey Ford is represented by a 1990 Hartland statue, which is in the original box. Three images of Yogi Berra are on an 8.5” Gartlan plate, titled “It Ain’t Over” and issued in 1990; it is in the original box. Finally, in 1987, Sports Impressions offered collectors a 7” figurine of Don Mattingly. Seven collectibles, nm or better.

Lot 276.  1987 Sports Impressions 10 3/8” Mickey Mantle and Don Mattingly Plate. Colorful plate with four images of each Yankees star and facsimile autographs in gold. The plate, which has a gold rim and is mint in the original box, comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Sports Impressions.

Lot 277.  10 New York Yankees Biographies – Mantle, Etc., - and a “Baseball Fantasy.” All hardbacks. The fantasy is the work of Sparky Lyle, “The Year I Owned the Yankees: A Baseball Fantasy.” Published in 1990, the book is nm-m, and the dust jacket, nm. Two books focus on Mickey Mantle: “All My Octobers: My Memories of 12 World Series When the Yankees Ruled Baseball,” 1994 stated first edition, ex-library with the dust jacket glued on. And “A Hero All His Life,” by members of Mantle’s family, 1996 stated first edition, nm-m book, nm dj. Thurman Munson’s autobiography, written with Marty Appel, is in the collection; this 1979 “Memorial Edition” is vg-ex, no dj. Three books, all published in 1980, are by or about Billy Martin: “Billy Martin,” Gene Schoor, first edition, g book, vg+ to ex dust jacket; “Damn Yankee,” Maury Allen, ex/ex; and “Number 1,” Martin with Peter Golenbock, ex-m book and price-clipped dj. The other books are “Baseball Legends: Joe DiMaggio,” Marty Appel, 1990, vg+ to ex; “Slick: My Life in and Around Baseball,” Whitey Ford, 1987 apparent first edition, nm/ex-m; “Guidry,” with Peter Golenbock, 1980, vg+ to ex/vg; and “Winfield: A Player’s Life” with Tom Parker, 1988, ex-m/ex-m.

Lot 278.  New York Yankees Memorabilia. 1. Cloth 4” patch commemorating Yankee Stadium, 1920-2008. Nm-m. 2. Cloth 5” patch for the 2008 All-Star Game played at Yankee Stadium. 3. Yankee Stadium Club matchbook, complete with all the matches, vg-ex. And 4. 1998 Pinnacle Mint Collection 1.25” Andy Pettitte “coin,” vg-ex.

Lot 292.  1940 and 1942 Senators Official for Yankees, Athletics Games, Gomez Autograph. The 1940 scorecard, for a game against New York, has a pencil autograph inside of Lefty Gomez. It displays as ex-m 6. The 1942 scorecard is for a Philadelphia game. Each four-page publication is ex; some names have been added in pencil to the printed lineups, which include Joe DiMaggio, Bill Dickey, Cecil Travis and Mickey Vernon. Kevin Keating authenticated the autograph.

Lot 306.  1935 “Illustrated Current News” Poster with Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Joe Cronin. The 12.25” x 19” poster shows Ruth at bat for his first time with Boston Braves; Gehrig as baseball’s highest-paid player ($30,000) and Cronin as leader of an All-Star team that won an exhibition game in San Francisco. Except for two folds made to mail the poster, it in nm-m.

Lot 316.  Mickey Mantle Modern Silver Gelatin Print from a Circa 1950s Original Negative. This 11” x 14” print shows the switch-hitting Hall of Fame outfielder with a bat in each hand. It provides an outstanding image of a young Mantle. Nm-m.

Lot 317.  Mickey Mantle and Whitey Ford Silver Gelatin Print Produced from Original Negatives. Nm-m 16” x 20” print. Over a period of 15 years, these two friends helped the New York Yankees to win five world championships and 10 American League pennants.
