Lot 780.  Autographed Copy of “Barbara Bush: A Memoir.” Gem mint 10 autograph on a bookplate on the flyleaf. Bush was First Lady of the U.S. from 1989-1993 and is the mother of President George W. Bush. The 1994 book is ex-m, and the dust jacket, ex.

Lot 781.  Lyndon Johnson Jan. 20, 1965 Inauguration Pin and Ribbon. The 3” pin is ex with light rim wear. The 2.25” x 6” ribbon exhibits wrinkles and couple of tiny stains. After completing the term of the fallen President John F. Kennedy, Johnson was elected to a full term as President and served from 1965-69.

Lot 783.  1874 Letter Signed by John R. Brady – Swore Chester Alan Arthur in as U.S. President. In 1881, Brady was a New York Supreme Court Justice. One Sept. 20, 1881, after the death of President James Garfield was announced, Brady was called upon to swear in Vice President Arthur as the 21st President of the United States. The swearing in took place at Arthur’s New York City apartment. Brady’s signature is nm-m 8 at the close of an 1874 handwritten letter on New York Supreme Court 5” x 8” stationery. Brady remained on the state’s Supreme Court until his death in 1891. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 784.  Autographs of 3 Women of the LBJ Family and Grover Cleveland’s Wife. Lady Bird Johnson, Lyndon Baines’ wife, autographed a 3.75” x 5.75” card with a drawing of the LBJ ranch; Luci Baines Johnson, a business-sized card; and Lynda J Robb, a 4” x 6” photo. Mrs. Johnson died in 2007. Her signature and Luci’s are mint 9; Lynda’s is nm 7. Grover Cleveland began his presidency as a bachelor. In 1886, he married Frances Folsom, the daughter of a friend. He was 49, she, 21. Cleveland died in 1908. Almost five years after his death, she married Thomas J. Preston, Jr., a professor at Wells College. She died in 1947. Her autograph as “Frances F. Cleveland Preston,” is nm-m 8 on an unlined index card. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
