 Lot 563. Tommy John Celebrity and Political Items and a Signed Baseball. Bobbing heads of William Shatner in his “Boston Legal” TV role and New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani are among more than a dozen items in this group. The ceramic Shatner nodder speaks, but the batteries need replacing. The Giuliani specimen is plastic. Both are nm. Two autographs are included, Kathryn (Crosby) on a 1980 note on Bing Crosby National Pro-Am Golf Championship letterhead, and Chuck Mangione on a 4.75” x 6.5” promotional card. Both autographs are nm-m 8. The card with Mangione’s autograph is stained, but the personalized autograph itself is unaffected. Six pinbacks are offered: A 3” pin with a photo of Clint Eastwood and text offering “Congratulations Mayor Clint” from the Carmel Youth Center, vg+; two 1.5” pins from Easter at the White House, one ex-m and one vg; a 2.25” President George W. Bush pin from 2004; a U.S. flag lapel pin, mint, and a 1” White House Medical Unit pin, nm-m. There also is a delegate badge from the 1980 Indiana Republican State Convention; It has a ribbon and a 1.5” medallion with an embossed image of Otis R. Bowen, the Indiana governor. A 2” medallion from 2003 recognizes the bicentennial of the exploration by Meriwether Lewis & William Clark on one side and Clark and York on the other. A slave to Clark, York participated in the expedition. The medallion is mint. Also, an adjustable cap from the Arsenio Hall Show. John autographed an Official Bowie Kuhn baseball from the 1978 World Series. The autograph is nm-m 8. The ball is relatively evenly toned to a dark cream color and may be game-used.
