 Lot 397. Assortment of 8 Cards Graded by PSA and Others – Murphy, Johnson, Giambi Rookies. PSA graded two cards: 1959 Topps #327 Bell, EX-MT 6, and 1965 Topps #425 Causey, EX 5. GMA also graded two cards: 1970 Topps #61 N.L. Batting Leaders with Rose and Clemente, VG 3, and 1977 Topps #476 Dale Murphy rookie, VG-EX+ 4.5. And Mint Grading provided grades for two cards: 1987 Topps #170 Bo Jackson rookie, GEM MT 10, and 1989 Donruss #42 Randy Johnson Rookie, NM-MT 8. The Jason Giambi rookie, 1991 Topps Traded #45T, has been graded 9.0 Mint by USA. And IGS assigned a grade of Mint 9 to 1994 Upper Deck #24, Alex Rodriguez rookie. The grades from the services other than PSA appear to be correct with the exception of the 1989 Donruss Randy Johnson Rated Rookie which we would grade ex+ These cards are sold “as is.”

Five cards in this group: 1. 1992 Fleer Excel Jeter #210, with Greensboro Hornets, PSA NM-MT 8. 2. 1998 Bowman Chrome #396 Ruben Mateo, PSA MINT 9. 3. 2006 Bowman Chrome Prospects #BC113 Cameron Maybin, PSA GEM MINT 10. 4. 2009 Bowman Chrome WBC Prospects #BCW1 Yu Darvish, PSA NM-MT 8. Darvish was 13-9 with a 2.83 ERA for the Texas Rangers this year and led the A.L. in strikeouts. 5. 2010 Topps Chrome #212 Stephen Strasburg, PSA MINT 9. Strasburg was 8-9 this season with a 3.00 ERA.

 Lot 402. 6 Cards Graded by Beckett – Chipper Jones, Soriano, Dawson, Etc. Four cards have been graded by Beckett’s BCCG service. Chipper Jones’ 2000 Upper Deck Game Used Jersey Hidden Treasures Diamond Collection #314 is graded 10 Mint or Better. The card and a section of jersey are slabbed. Three other cards are BCCG-graded 9 Near Mint or Better: 1983 Donruss #518 Andre Dawson; 1989 Upper Deck #13 Gary Sheffield rookie; and 1990 Upper Deck #17 Sammy Sosa rookie. Beckett’s regular service graded two cards: 1990 Bowman’s Best #169 Alfonso Soriano rookie, 8.5 NM-MT+, and 2005 Bowman’s Best #100 Chuck James, 9.5 Gem Mint. Jones retired after last season as an eight-time All-Star and 1999 N.L. MVP with a .303 career average, 468 home runs and 1,623 RBI. After returning to this Yankees this season, Soriano joined the 400 home run club.
