Lot 560.  Mark Breland and Iran Blade Barkley Autographs. Breland’s accomplishments include five New York Golden Gloves title, a gold medal in the welterweight class at the 1984 Olympics and the WBA welterweight championship. As an actor, he has appeared in TV series and in theater films. Barkley held middleweight, super middleweight and light heavyweight titles. Twice he defeated Thomas Hearns. Breland’s signature is light on the white portion of an Everlast black and white glove. Vg-ex 4 to ex 5. Barkley’s is nm-m 8 on a red Everlast glove. Ink coverage is broad on “ley.” Both autographs are personalized. From Tommy John’s collection, the gloves are accompanied by two signed “Property of Thomas Edward John” labels. Lot 735.  American Tobacco Co. Coupon for Turkey Red Cabinet Cards. This coupon invites smokers of Old Mill Cigarettes to exchange this coupon and 24 more for one of 75 cards listed on the back. The coupon was folded horizontally, apparently as issued. Except for the fold, the coupon is problem-free and vg+ to ex.

Lot 736.  Floyd Patterson Autographed 8” x 10” B&W Glossy Photo. Patterson won the heavyweight boxing title in 1956, lost it in 1959, regained it in 1960 and held it until 1962. He was inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 1991. He passed away in 2006. Nm-m signature with a slight traceover at the top of the “a.” Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 737.  Baseballs Signed by HoF Boxers – Archie Moore, George Foreman and Ken Norton. Foreman and Norton held the heavyweight title, and Moore was the light heavyweight champion from 1952-62. Each fighter signed the sweet spot of a baseball. The Moore and Norton signatures are on nm-m OAL Budig balls. Foreman autographed a mint Rawlings “Official League” ball. The Foreman and Norton autographs are nm-m 8, and Moore, mint 9. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 738.  Boxing Photos Signed by Alexis Argüello, Carmen Basilio, Billy Costello and Willie Pep. Nm-m 8 and better autographs by these former champions. All are deceased, and all but Costello are in the World Boxing Hall of Fame. Argüello signed a color photo; Costello, a sepia photo, and Basilio and Pep, b&w photos.

Lot 739.  Rocky Graziano Boxing Gloves in a Jack Dempsey Youth’s Physical Fitness Gloves Box. One of the most popular fighters of the 1940s and early 1950s, Graziano held the world middleweight title in 1947 and 1948. He is a member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame, The red boxing gloves by Trio Hollander are large enough for adult hands. Graziano’s name is silver on one glove is almost 100 percent intact. Approximately one-third of the silver debossing remains on the other glove. The cellophane is torn and partially missing from the Everlast Dempsey box, which otherwise is vg.

Lot 740.  Ticket for a Theater Telecast of the 1967 Clay (Ali)-Patterson Championship Fight. Cassius Clay and Floyd Patterson were scheduled to meet April 25 in Las Vegas, but the bout was blocked by the Nevada State Boxing Commission. Shortly before the scheduled fight, Ali had been stripped of his title and boxing license for refusing induction into the U.S. Army. The 3” x 5.5” ticket pictures both boxers and is ex-m. It is for a theater in Troy, N.Y.

Lot 741.  LeRoy Neiman Boxing Print from the 1980 Olympics in Moscow. This 18.5” x 25.75” artwork showing two Olympics boxers was taken from a larger poster titled “Games of the XXII Olympiad, Moscow 1980.” The U.S. boycotted the Summer Olympics to protest the Soviet Union’s invasion of Afghanistan. This Neiman artwork is matted and framed without glass to 24” x 32”. Nm.
