Lot 412. 1951 Cleveland Indians Picture Pack Near Set – 24 of 26 Plus 1 Uncataloged. The checklist for this group is from SCD’s “Standard Catalog.” Bearden and Easter are missing. Manager Al Lopez is not in the checklist, but the photo included here is completely consistent with the rest of the set. It seems reasonable that he would be part of the set. The following photos have a one-inch piece of tape in the top border: Avila, Boone, Brissie, Doby ex+, Feller ex+, Garcia, Gromek, Hegan, Kennedy, Lemon vg-ex, Lopez ex+, Mitchell, Rosen, Simpson, Tebbets and Wynn vg. The grades for the HoFers ignore the tape; without the tape, the others would average vg-ex to ex+. The following photos do NOT have the strip of tape: Chakales, Chapman, Combs, Fahr, Nielsen, Rojek, Stirnweiss, Vander Meer and Zuverink. These photo cards grade vg-ex to ex+ overall.
