Lot 524.  Tommy John Autographed Cleveland Indians Baseball Cap. Nm-m 8 signature on the bill of the New Era Diamond Collection size 6 7/8 cap, which is ex-m. The cap has “T.J. #25” on the underside of the bill. Authenticated by Kevin Keating. John began his major league career with Cleveland in 1963 and pitched there in 1964 as well.

Lot 525.  Tommy John Signed Numeral Marking His 200th Win and a Signed Game-Used Baseball. John’s autograph is nm-m 8 on a brass “2” that is about 7” tall and 5” across. It’s accompanied by two unsigned zeroes used to make the number “200” as part of a celebration when John won his 200th game in 1981. John also autographed a game-used OAL Bobby Brown baseball. The signature is mint 9. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 526.  Tommy John Signed Photo Composite from 1973 “Tommy John Day” in Terre Haute. John’s hometown honored him. The composite is made up of 24 photos. John’s autograph mint 9 on a photo that shows him and his golf clubs with several local officials. The composite is 20” x 32”. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 527.  Baltimore Promotional Baseball Cap Signed by 19 1985 Orioles Including Eddie Murray. The autographs are ex-m 6 and nm 7 on the bill and front of the cap: Murray, Mike Boddicker, Mike Flanagan, Sammy Stewart, Rick Dempsey, Joe Nolan, Fritzie Connally, Rich Dauer, Wayne Gross, Lee Lacy, Gary Roenicke, Joe Altobelli, Dan Ford, Terry Crowley, Elrod Hendricks, Ray Miller, Cal Ripken (Sr.) and Jimmy Williams. Authenticated by Kevin Keating. Comes with a signed “Property of Thomas Edward John” label.

Lot 528.  Frank Viola Signed T-Shirt and a Baseball Autographed by Viola and Tommy John. Viola’s signature is nm-m 8 on a size XL T-shirt that bears his image by award-winning cartoonist Bruce Stark. The T-shirt is unused. Viola and John both signed panels of an OAL Bobby Brown baseball that may be game-used. Their autographs are nm-m. Viola won the Cy Young Award in 1988. Lot 529.  1983 Poster Signed by Reggie Jackson and Rod Carew as California Angles. Mint 9 signatures on the poster, which is framed to 17.5 x 20”. Tommy John is also shown. The poster is from his collection. Authenticated by Kevin Keating. Comes with a signed “Property of Thomas Edward John” label.

Lot 697.  Joe E. Brown, Bill Virdon and Frank Thomas Autographs on a 1957 Pirates Dinner Program. The comedian-actor, the Pirates outfielders and Pennsylvania Governor George M. Leader signed the program for an April 15 “Welcome Home Pittsburgh Pirates Dinner.” Thomas and Virdon signed the front cover of the eight-page program in pencil. The autographs of Brown and Leader are large on the back cover. Nm-m 8 and better signatures. The father of Pirates general manager Joe L. Brown, Joe E. was the toastmaster for the dinner. Leader was one of the speakers. The program is stained in the lower left, and the cover has two stains toward the top. The interior includes a team picture.

Lot 702.  1960 Pirates N.L. Champions Photo, a Murtaugh Autograph and 2 Restaurant Placemats. Three collectibles, all with photos of the 1960 World Series champions. An 8 ½” x 11” framed b&w photo pictures the N.L. champs and has a Danny Murtaugh signature cut stapled to the upper right corner. Except for the staples, the photo is nm-m, and so is the autograph. The placemats, each about 10” x 14”, are from two different restaurants and have slightly different content. The placemat from Ben Weinstein & Sons has a photo of the 1960 Pirates, as well as smaller photos of the 1925 world champions and the 1927 N.L. pennant winners. Ex with toning along the edges and minor foxing toward the top. The placemat from Young’s shows only the 1960 team. It is folded vertically and has multiple edge tears of up to ½”.

Lot 706.  20 Pittsburgh Pirates Autographs Including Stargell on a 1970 New York Mets Program. The signatures are nm 7 to mint 9 on the cover of a Pirates at Mets program: Willie Stargell, Bob Veale, Fred Patek, Bob Robertson, Gene Alley, Bruce Dal Canton, Richie Hebner, Al Oliver, Jose Pagan, M (Manny) Sanguillen, Jerry May, Dave Giusti, Steve Blass, Luke Walker, Gene Clines, Dock Ellis, Matty Alou, John Jeter, Joe Gibbon and Danny Murtaugh. The program is scored for a game the Mets won. Stargell, Murtaugh, Ellis, Alou and Dal Canton are deceased.

Lot 707.  4 Baseballs Single-Signed by Pittsburgh Pirates – Sanguillen, Bay, Nicosia and Blass. Manny Sanguillen (Pirates 1967, 1969-76, 1978-80) and Jason Bay (Pirates 2003-08, 2004 N.L. Rookie of the Year) each placed a gem mint 10 autograph on the sweet spot of a Pirates logo ball by Rawlings. The baseballs are mint. Steve Blass (Pirates 1964 and 1966-74) and Steve Nicosia (Pirates 1978-83) signed panels. Blass’ signature is nm 7 to nm-m 8 on a nm-m Pirates ball, and Nicosia’s, nm-m 8 on an ex-m Feeney ball that may be game-used. Kevin Keating authenticated these four autographs. With these autographs are a 1988 or 1989 Pirates team ball with facsimile signatures and a 1970s Pirates team ball with clubhouse signatures.

Lot 710.  Mickey Mantle Huge Autograph on a 24” x 36’ Poster. Mantle’s nm-m 8 signature spans almost nine inches! Somewhat faded and showing light to moderate foxing, the poster displays well with Mantle’s autographs serving as the focus of attention. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 711.  1961 New York Yankees Poster by Ron Lewis Autographed by 28. Nm-m 8 and better autographs were placed on the poster at the famous 1989 team reunion show in Atlantic City. Twelve of the 28 signers from this fabled team are now deceased: Yogi Berra, Johnny Blanchard, Clete Boyer, Bob Cerv, Tex Clevenger, Jim Coates, Frank Crosetti, Bud Daley, Art Ditmar, Al Downing, Ryne Duren, Whitey Ford, Bill Gardner, Bob Hale, Ralph Houk, John James, Hector Lopez, Jack Reed, Hal Reniff, Bobby Richardson, John Sain, Roland Sheldon, Bill Skowron, Bill Stafford, Ralph Terry, Lee Thomas, Tom Tresh and Bob Turley. The vg+ to ex poster measures 24” x 37.5”. Matt and frame it with cuts of Mantle, Maris, Elston Howard and others for a magnificent display piece! Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 712.  1989 New York Yankees Team Ball Signed by 22. Manager Dallas Green is on the sweet spot. The other autographs are by Don Mattingly, Jesse Barfield, Mike Pagliarulo,, Alvaro Espinoza, Steve Balboni, Lance McCullers, Don Slaught, Dave Righetti, Eric Plunk, Roberto Kelly, Dale Mohoric, Chuck Cary, Ken Phelps, Clay Parker, Greg Cadaret, Steve Sax, Luis Polonia and coaches Billy Connors and Pat Corrales. Almost all of the autographs are nm-m 8 or better, and the OAL Bobby Brown ball is mint.

Lot 713.  Lefty Gomez Autographed 1983 Cramer Sports Baseball Legends Card #117. Nm-m 8 signature by one of the best pitchers in Yankees history. He was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1972 and died in 1989.
