Lot 429.  Nolan Ryan and Cal Ripken Jr. Autographed 16” x 20” Color Photo. Gem mint 10 autographs by the Hall of Fame baseball greats. Ripken holds the record for consecutive games played, and Ryan, the record for strikeouts by a pitcher. Kevin Keating authenticated the signatures. Framed to 18” x 22”, the photo is No. 182 from an edition of 250.

Lot 430.  World Series Highlights Photo Signed by Mays, Mazeroski, Larsen and Gionfriddo. Produced in 1975 by the NBC network, the photo features artwork capturing four World Series highlights: 1947, Al Gionfriddo’s catch that robbed Joe DiMaggio of a home run. 1956, Yogi Berra congratulating Don Larsen after the Yankee hurler pitched a perfect game. 1960, Bill Mazeroski’s series-winning home run. And 1954, Willie Mays’ over-the-shoulder catch of a ball hit by Vic Wertz. Gionfriddo died in 2003. The autographs are nm-m 8 and better. Authenticated by Kevin Keating and JSA Authentication. Lot 431.  1943 Philadelphia Athletics Autographed Sheet Vintage-Signed by 14 Team Members. The 4.5” x 8.5” sheet has the nm-m 8 autographs of Don Black, Bob Swift, Roger Wolff, Jess Flores, Orie Arntzen, Dick Siebert, Hal Wagner, Irv Hall, Pete Suder, John Welaj, Luman, Harris, Eddie Mayo, Frankie Skaff, and Dave Keefe. Some nice names here! All of these players are deceased.

Lot 432.  Bob Cain Autographed 8” x 10” Photo – Walked Eddie Gaedel. Cain was the Detroit Tigers’ pitcher on Aug. 19, 1951, when the St. Louis Browns’ Bill Veeck sent Gaedel, who was only 3’ 7” tall, to the plate. Cain walked him on four pitches. In 1961, Gaedel died from a beating and a heart attack. Cain was the only representative of major league baseball to attend his funeral. The composite photo shows Cain with the Browns. He pitched for the team in 1952 and 1953. He passed away in 1997. His signature, authenticated by Kevin Keating, is nm-m 8 to mint 9. Cain’s autograph is relatively difficult to find

Lot 433.  Ray Dandridge Nm-M 8 to Mint 9 Autograph on an ONL Feeney Baseball. Dandridge’s signature extends from the west panel to the sweet spot. The ball is off-white with slight unevenness in the toning. Dandridge was widely regarded as the Negro Leagues’ best third baseman. He played also in the Mexican League. He hit above .300 wherever he played. In 1949, at the age of 35, he batted .362 for Minneapolis and was selected as the American Association Rookie of the Year. The following year, he was the league’s MVP. Unfortunately, he was never given as chance to play in the majors even though Sal Maglie, who played with Dandridge in Mexico, insisted the New York Giants would have won the N.L. pennant if the team had brought him up. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1987. He passed away in 1994. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 434.  Leo Durocher Autographed 3.5” x 5.5” Sepia Photo. Gem mint 10 signature by the controversial Hall of Fame manager. Durocher died in 1991, three years before his HoF election. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 435.  Carl Hubbell Autographed 1973 TCMA Postcard. Bold, strong autograph with an nm-m 8 appearance on a dark background. Winner of more than 20 games in five consecutive seasons, Hubbell was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1947. He died in 1988. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 436.  Jim Catfish Hunter Single-Signed OAL Bobby Brown Baseball. Hunter’s career included a perfect game, five consecutive 20-win seasons, a Cy Young Award, selection for the All-Star Game eight times and five world championships. He entered the Hall of Fame in 1987. He was only 53 when he died in 1999. His autograph on the sweet spot is nm-m 8 to mint 9. The ball is off-white to cream colored and toned just very slightly unevenly. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 437.  Gregg Jefferies Nm-M 8 Autograph on a New York Mets Jersey. In 14 major league seasons, primarily as an infielder, Jefferies batted .289. A two-time All-Star, he played for the Mets, Royals, Cardinals, Phillies, Angels and Tigers. The adult-sized jersey is without manufacturer’s tags. It has Jefferies name and number on the back and his number on the front. Nm-m. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 438.  Ralph Kiner (HoF) Autograph on a Forbes Field Commemorative Bat. Nm 7 signature by the Hall of Fame outfielder, who added “HOF 1975.” The 1988 bat from the Cooperstown Bat Co. is nm-m. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 439.  Sal Maglie Autographed 1980 Exhibit Card. Large, bold mint 9 autograph. Maglie pitched for all three New York teams and won a world championship with the Giants in 1954. In 1950, his winning percentage and ERA were the best in the National League. The next season he led the league in victories. Maglie passed away in 1992. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 440.  Nate McLouth Autographed Louisville Slugger C243 Black Bat. Nm-m 8 signature in silver on the barrel of the 33.5” bat, which has his No. 13 on the knob and the end of the barrel. McLouth played for the Pirates from 2005-09 and again in 2012. He was an All-Star outfielder and Gold Glove Award recipient in 2008. He played in 146 games this season with Baltimore. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 441.  Stan Musial Autograph on the Sweet Spot of an Official International League Ball. Nm-m 8 signature on an nm off-white Harold M. Cooper ball. Both “The Sporting News” and the Society for American Baseball Research rate Musial as one of the 10 best baseball players of all time. He died in January. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 442.  Joe Pepitone Signed 8” x 10” B&W Photo of Him with Mickey Mantle and Roger Maris. Large, bold mint 9 to gem mint 10 silver autograph on a black background. Pepitone was a crowd favorite in New York. A three-time All-Star, he received three Gold Glove Awards. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 443.  1950s Draper & Maynard DG920 Store Model Glove Autographed by Robin Roberts. The Hall of Fame Phillie, one of the best pitchers of the 1950s, placed a mint 9 autograph just below his facsimile signature on this vintage glove. Besides the imprinted autograph, the Draper & Maynard logo, including the Lucky Dog, can still be seen on the face of the glove, which shows moderate to heavy use. The leather remains soft and pliable. Although a “junior model,” the glove readily fits an adult hand. Kevin Keating authenticated the autograph.
