Lot 212.  2 Different Al Kaline Autographed 16” x 20” Color Photos. One shows Kaline batting, and the other has him ready for action in the outfield. In 1980, Kaline became the 10th player elected to the Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. In 22 major league seasons, all with Detroit, he collected 3,007 hits, 399 home runs and 1,583 RBI. He was an 18-time All-Star and 10-time Gold Glove recipient. On each photo, Kaline’s autograph is large and bold, mint 9 to gem mint 10, and authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 213.  Harmon Killebrew Autographed 1972 Topps Card. Bold gem mint 9 to gem mint 10 signature authenticated by Kevin Keating. The card is mounted on a 5” x 7” plaque. Killebrew passed away in 2011.

Lot 214.  Harmon Killebrew Signed OML Selig Baseball Authenticated by PSA/DNA and Keating. Gem mint 10 autograph on the sweet spot of a bright white baseball that has 10 small spots of discoloration on the south panel. They are well away from the signature. The ball comes was a PSA/DNA certificate and has been authenticated by Kevin Keating as well. Only 10 players have hit more home runs than Killebrew, who passed away in 2011.

Lot 215.  Ralph Kiner Signed Autobiography, “Kiner’s Korner.” When Kiner retired, only Babe Ruth had belted more home runs per time at bat. He led his league or tied for the lead in home runs seven times. Among baseball’s top 10 all-time home run hitters, only Ruth (12 times) has equaled or surpassed this achievement. He was an All-Star in six of his 12 major league seasons. After his playing career ended, he broadcast New York Mets games for more than 50 seasons. Kiner’s personalized signature is mint 9 on the first title page of the book. Dated 2/24/93, it has been authenticated by Kevin Keating. The 1987 hardback, an apparent first edition, is ex-m in a similar dust jacket.

Lot 216.  Eddie Mathews Autographed 7” x 9” Original UPI 1957 World Series Photo. Mathews is congratulated by his teammates after his 10th-inning two-run home run won Game 4 of the 1957 World Series for the Milwaukee Braves. His signature in the upper left corner is nm-m 8. The photo is vg-ex. A member of the 500 home run club, Mathews entered the Hall of Fame in 1978. He died in 2001. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 217.  Willie Mays Autographed 1951 Bowman Reproduction Rookie Card. Nm autograph authenticated by Kevin Keating. Apparently the signature is from a limited edition by Score Board.

Lot 218.  Minnie Minoso Autograph on the Sweet Spot of an OAL Bobby Brown Ball. Minoso’s signature is nm 7 and has been authenticated by Kevin Keating. The ball is nm-m. Nicknamed the “Cuban Comet,” Minoso was an All-Star in seven of his 17 major league seasons and a Gold Glove Award recipient three times. His career batting average is .298.

Lot 219.  Stan Musial Signed HoF Postcard Graded Mint 9 by PSA and Certified by PSA/DNA. Mint 9 autograph authenticated also by Kevin Keating on a gold plaque Hall of Fame postcard. Musial passed away in January.

Lot 220.  Stan Musial Autograph on a “Stan the Man” Card. Strong signature that displays as nm-m 8 against a complex background on the 3.5” x 6” card. Authenticated by Kevin Keating. Musial passed away in early 2013.

Lot 221.  Gaylord Perry Autographed ONL Giamatti Baseball. Nm 7 to nm-m 8 sweet spot signature authenticated by Kevin Keating. Perry’s 314 victories earned him a place in the Hall of Fame in 1991. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 222.  1950s Draper & Maynard DG920 Store Model Glove Autographed by Robin Roberts. The Hall of Fame Phillie, one of the best pitchers of the 1950s, placed a mint 9 autograph just below his facsimile signature on this vintage glove. Besides the imprinted autograph, the Draper & Maynard logo, including the Lucky Dog, can still be seen on the face of the glove, which shows moderate to heavy use. The leather remains soft and pliable. Although a “junior model,” the glove readily fits an adult hand. Over the past year, we have handled a substantial number of items signed by Roberts; this is the only glove. Kevin Keating authenticated the autograph.

Lot 223.  7 Robin Roberts Signed Brass Plates – Beautiful Display Items! Each 7” x 9” “Permagraph” plate contains an image of Roberts, biographical information, his career statistics and a large, bold mint 9 or gem mint 10 autograph on an image of a baseball. In the early 1950s, no pitcher was better than Roberts. He won at least 20 games each season from 1950 through 1955, for a total of 138 victories during the period. In 1999, The “Sporting News” counted him among the top 100 players (#74) in baseball history. Roberts passed away in 2010. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 224.  6 Checks Signed by Robin Roberts (HoF). One of the most successful pitchers in the majors during the 1950s, Roberts was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1976. Pitching for the Phillies, which wasn’t exactly an N.L. powerhouse, he won at least 20 games per season from 1950 through 1955, led the league in complete games in each of these seasons and struck out more batters than any other N.L. pitcher in 1953 and 1954. His signature is on six checks written from 1975-79. These signatures are strong, nm-m 8 or better, with most having a bank processing stamp affect some part of the autograph. One pricing source lists Roberts’ checks at $200 each. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 225.  Pete Rose Signed Baseball Commemorating His Major League Record of 4,256 Hits. Rose collected his final major league hit – No. 4,256 – a single off San Francisco’s Greg Minton on Aug. 14, 1986. The unretired player with the most hits trails him by more than 900. Rose’s autograph is gem mint 10 on the sweet spot of an nm-m William White baseball. Kevin Keating authenticated the autograph.

Lot 226.  Joe Sewell Autographed Gold Plaque Hall of Fame Postcard. Kevin Keating authenticated the signature, which is mint 9 on the front of the card. A .312 career batter, the HoF shortstop had the lowest strikeout rate in major league history. He died in 1990.
