Lot 129.  8” x 10” Photos Signed by Hank Aaron, Reggie Jackson and Willie Mays. Mays and Jackson autographed a color photo that shows them with Aaron, who placed a large, bold signature on a b&w photo. The Mays and Jackson autographs are nm-m 8, and Aaron’s, mint 9. The Aaron autograph comes with a JSA Certificate of Authenticity. Global authenticated the Mays and Jackson signatures and has supplied a certificate. All three signatures have been approved by Kevin Keating. Two separate photos.

Lot 130.  Hank Aaron Signed Authentic Sports Autographs 1983 Set of 12 Cards. Aaron autographed the first card in the set. Kevin Keating authenticated his signature, which is nm 7. The set is #100 of 2,000, and the cards are nm-m.

Lot 131.  Richie Ashburn (HoF) Autographed ONL Coleman Baseball. Ashburn placed a mint 9 to gem mint 10 signature on the sweet spot of the nm-m to mint baseball. He added “HOF ‘95” below his autograph. Ashburn died in 1997. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 133.  Letter Signed by E. J. (Buzzie) Bavasi, Baseball Executive, on Brooklyn Dodgers Stationery. Bavasi was the Dodgers general manager, in Brooklyn and Los Angeles, from 1951-68. With Bavasi in charge, the Dodgers won eight National League pennants and four world championships. Later, he was the San Diego Padres’ first general manager. He also played an important role in integrating minor league baseball. Bavasi’s signature is nm-m 8 to mint 9 on a 1955 letter that transmits a Dodgers cap to a fan. Authenticated by Kevin Keating. The letter was folded for mailing.

Lot 134.  James Cool (Papa) Bell Singled-Signed ONL Giamatti Baseball. The sharpie signature is bold, extending across the west panel to the sweet spot of the ball, which is very slightly off-white and shows light, scattered soiling. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 135.  2 Ken Boyer Autographed 1965 Topps Baseball Cards. Boyer signed #100 (nm-m 8 autograph) and #135 (nm 7 to nm-m 8). The N.L. MVP in 1964, Boyer was a seven-time All-Star and five-time Gold Glove honoree. He passed away in 1982. Autographs authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 136.  Miguel Cabrera Beautiful 16”x20” Color Action Photo Boldly Signed! Cabrera has been an All-Star in seven of his 10 seasons. For his career, he has posted a .318 batting average with 1,802 hits, 321 home runs and 1,123 RBI. Last season, he was the A.L.’s MVP after becoming the first player to win the Triple Crown since Carl Yastrzemski in 1967. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 138.  Steve Carlton Autographed Michael Mellett “On One Field” Lithograph. Beautifully signed by Carlton, who added “CY 72, 77, 80, 82.” Inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1994, he ranks eleventh in career victories with 329 and in strikeouts with 4,136. Among lefties, only Warren Spahn posted more victories, and Randy Johnson, more strikeouts. Mellett also signed the 19 ¾” x 23 ¾” print, which is rolled and nm. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 139.  Autographs of 2 DiMaggio Brothers –Dom and Vince. Each of the outfielders placed an nm-m 8 to mint 9 autograph on an unlined 3” x 5” index card. Dom passed away in 2009, and Vince in 1986. Vince’s autograph is the scarcest of the three DiMaggio brothers’. If you already have a Joe DiMaggio autograph, these two will make nice additions to your collection. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 140.  Bob Feller Autographed Majestic Jersey. Large, mint 9 signature on the front. In his first year of eligibility in 1962, Feller was elected to the Hall of Fame. His career included 262 victories and more than three seasons serving in World War II. He passed away in 2010. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 141.  Whitey Ford Signed Baseball and a Baseball Signed for Him by Drew Brees. Ford’s signature is mint 9 on the sweet spot of a mint OML Selig baseball. He added “HOF 74.” Brees, the New Orleans quarterback and MVP of Super Bowl XLIV, is a Ford fan and signed several baseballs for him. This is one of them. Brees’ sweet spot signature is mint 9. Lot 142.  Chas. Gehringer Collage Featuring 3 Autographs. After 19 seasons, 16 as a starter, at second base for the Detroit Tigers, Charlie Gehringer was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1949. Regarded by many experts as the best second baseman ever, he hit .320 over his career, drove in 1,427 runs, was selected for the All-Star Game six times and won a batting title and MVP honors in 1937. He passed away in 1993. Gehringer signed three cards: 1980 TCMA All Time Tigers, 1980-88 Baseball Immortals and 1982 TCMA Baseball’s Greatest Hitters. They are in a display that also contains a 3” x 4.5” b&w photo and his career statistics. The signatures in sharpie are bold, nm-m 8 and mint 9. The autograph on the All Time Tigers card may appear to be smudged. It is not. Rather, the signature intersects with decorative stars in the border, creating the illusion of being smudged. The collage is matted to 13.75” x about 15.5”. Autographs authentication by Kevin Keating.

Lot 143.  Al Kaline Collection of 5 Autographs. When he was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1980, Kaline became on the 23rd player selected in his first year of eligibility. His signatures are mint 9 or gem mint 10 on five different 8” x 10” photos, four color and one black & white. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
