Lot 156.  8 HoF Autographs - Hutson, Hein, Biletnikoff, Griese, Singletary, McDonald, 2 Parkers. Also, Jim Plunkett, with all nine on various card issues. Don Hutson’s signature is nm-m 8 on a 1991 Enor Hall of Fame card. Enor cards were signed also by Tommy McDonald (mint 9 on the back), “Ace” Parker (nm-m 8), Jim Parker (nm-m 8) and Mike Singletary (nm 7 to nm-m 8, strong signature, darker background). Mel Hein (mint 9+), Fred Belitnikoff (nm-m 8) and Bob Griese (mint) autographed Swell Football Greats cards from, respectively, 1989, 1988 and 1990. Jim Plunkett’s signature is nm-m 8 on a 1990 Pro Set MVP card. Hutson, both Parkers and Hein are deceased. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 157.  Autographs of 5 Heisman Trophy Winners and 2 College HoF Coaches on FDCs. All eight are in the College Hall of Fame. Coaches Ara Parseghian and Bobby Bowden autographed one of the first-day covers, a 1997 issue that honors Bear Bryant and “Legendary Football Coaches.” Two FDCs issued in 1997 at the Pro Football Hall of Fame are each signed by three Heisman winners. One has the signatures of John Cappelletti, Terry Baker and Joe Bellino, and the other, Johnny Lujack, Baker and Johnny Lattner. The cover with Cappelletti, Baker and Bellino has a personalization. The signatures are 9s and 10s. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 158.  7 Signed Photos: Ken Anderson, Manny Fernandez, Gino Marchetti and Billy Sims. Also, Dick Maegle. Anderson (2), Fernandez, Marchetti and Sims (2) autographed either original wire photos or glossy newspaper photos that are 7” x 9” or 8” x 10”. All are different. The signatures are nm-m 8 or better. In addition, Maegle signed an 8.5” x 11” photocopied photo and a photocopied summary of his career. Eight autographs. Marchetti is in the Pro Hall of Fame, and Sims and Maegle, in the College Hall of Fame. Sims was the 1978 Heisman Trophy winner. and is in the College Hall of Fame. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 159.  Lawrence Taylor, Ronnie Lott and Jim Kiick Autographs on Football Cards. Nm 7 to mint 9 signatures authenticated by Kevin Keating. Taylor signed 1993 Classic card #194; Lott, 1991 Action Packed card #79, and Kiick, 1974 Topps #479. Also includes 1999 Upper Deck card SB1 with a facsimile autograph of Joe Montana as the MVP of Super Bowl XVI.

Lot 160.  5 Photos Signed by N.Y. Football Giants – Robustelli, Morrison, Katcavage, Nolan, Larson. All of the photos except Andy Robustelli’s are vintage-signed. Robustelli (died 2011) and Jim Katcavage (d. 1995) signed 3.5” x 5.25” photos. The personalized signatures of Dick Nolan (d. 2007) and Greg Larson are on 5” x 7” photos. Joe Morrison (d. 1989 at age 51) autographed an 8” x 10” photo. Morrison’s personalized autograph is nm 7. The others are nm-m 8 or mint 9. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 161.  Jim Taylor, Jerry Kramer, Paul Hornung and Bob Lilly Signed “Life” Magazines. Taylor and Kramer autographed the cover of the Oct. 14, 1966 issue, and Lilly, the Oct. 6, 1972 cover. Hornung signed one page of a two-page spread inside the shows him racing for a touchdown. The signatures, authenticated by Kevin Keating, are mint 9 to gem mint 10. The issues are complete and ex. Taylor entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1976, Lilly in 1980 and Hornung in 1986. The cover signed by Taylor and Kramer folds out to present a 13.5 x 19.5” image of muddy mayhem involving the Green Bay Packers and Cleveland Browns. Kramer is probably the best offensive lineman omitted from the Hall of Fame.

Pro Set: 1989, #205 and 209. Fleer: #211. SP Authentic: #6 Isaac Bruce. And a 1995 card signed by Gary Glick. Authenticated by Kevin Keating, the autographs range from ex 5 to gem mint 10 and average nm-m 8.

Lot 163.  Autographed Book: “Maroon Gold, A History of Sun Devil Athletics.” Nm-m copy of the book on Arizona State sports signed by the author, Bob Eger, and six famous coaches, student-athletes or both: Rob Evans, Ned Wulk, Baldy Castillo, Bruce Snyder, Bill Kajikawa and Pat Murphy. Kajikawa passed away last year. Eger, the author, signed one of the blank pages at the front of the book, and the others, another page. Kevin Keating authenticated the signatures, which are mint 9 and gem mint 10.
