Lot 110.  Print Signed by Buck O’Neil, Dave Pope, Wilmer Fields and Same Jethroe. The 1998 Cleveland “League Park 1891-1946” 20” x 24” lithograph is signed also by Joe B. Scott and Wilbur Greene. The Cleveland Buckeyes of the Negro American League played at League Park. Jethroe was the National League’s 1950 Rookie of the Year. O’Neil, who played for and managed the Kansas City Monarchs, was the major leagues’ first black scout. The print, which is rolled, has some edge creases. The signatures are 10s. This 13” x 21” b&w print, produced by the Negro League Baseball Players Association, also shows Wilmer Fields. The print has have some edge creases. The signatures are gem mint 10s. Lot 112.  17 Autographs of Negro Leaguers – Fields, Duckett, Mathis, Radcliffe, Etc. The signatures are cuts adhered to unlined 3” x 5” index cards. The autographs, mint 9s and gem mint 10s, are by Charlie Biot, Garnett Blair (2), Bill (Ready) Cash, Jim Fireball Cohen (on lined paper), Mahlon Duckett, Wilmer Fields, Cowan Hyde (2, one on lined paper), Lester Lockett (signature from a letter as “Mr. L. Lockett), Verdell Mathis, Double Duty (Radcliffe), Artie Wilson (4) and Bill Wright. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 150.  Ted Double Duty Radcliffe Autographed Biography. Radcliffe is one of the best Negro Leaguers not in the Hall of Fame. In a playing career that began in 1928 and ended in the early 1950s, he may have recorded as many as 4,000 hits, 400 home run, 500 wins and 4,000 strikeouts. Statistics are sketchy and incomplete. He made six All-Star teams in the Negro Leagues. In 11 games against major leaguers for which there are statistics, he batted .389. In a 1952 poll of Negro Leagues experts by the Pittsburgh Courier, He wound up fifth all-time among catchers in the Negro Leagues, and seventeenth among pitchers. The 1995 book, in paperback form, is “Ted ‘Double Duty’ Radcliffe” by Kyle P. McNary, ex+. Radcliffe autographed the title page; the signature is a 10. He passed away in 2005.
