Lot 123.  Game-Used 2002 Spring Training OML Baseball Signed by 11 Baltimore Orioles. The ball holds strong signatures, 9s and 10s, by Jay Gibbons, Jason Johnson, Marty Cordova, Ryan McGuire, Tony Batista, Jerry Hairston, Sidney Ponson, Fernando Lunar, Elrod Hendricks, Mike Bordick and Melvin Mora. Hendricks passed away in 2005. His signature is at the top of the south panel. Autographs authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 124.  Official 1986 World Series Baseball Signed by Bill Buckner and Mookie Wilson. Both players placed gem mint 10 signatures on the sweet spot. On Oct. 25, 1986, the date Wilson added to the ball, Buckner made one of the biggest fielding errors in baseball history. That night, in Game 6 of the World Series, the Boston Red Sox were three outs away from defeating the New York Mets and capturing their first world championship since Babe Ruth was a 23-year-old pitcher-outfielder. The Red Sox entered the bottom of the 10th inning with a three games to two edge in the series and a 5-2 lead in the game. Through no fault of Buckner’s, the Red Sox blew the lead. With the scored tied and Ray Knight on second base, Wilson hit a grounder toward Buckner, Boston’s first baseman. Buckner allowed to the ball to go between his legs into right field, and Knight scored the winning run. The Mets won the series the next day. The ball is nm-m with light, even toning. Lot 125.  ONL Coleman Baseball Autographed by Ralph Branca and Bobby Thomson. On Oct. 3, 1951, Branca delivered the pitch that Thomson turned into the “Shot Heard ‘Round the World.” The game-ending home run gave the New York Giants a 5-4 victory over the Brooklyn Dodgers and the opportunity to face the New York Yankees in the World Series. Both players signed the sweet spot of the nm ball. The signatures are mint 9s. Thomson passed away in August. Autographs authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 126.  ONL Giamatti Baseball Signed by Mets Record-Setting Relievers McDowell and Innis. In 1986, Roger McDowell set a New York Mets record for appearances by a pitcher at 75. Jeff Innis eclipsed the record in 1992 with 76 relief stints. Both pitchers signed the east panel. The autographs are mint 9s. The ball has some discoloration spots primarily away from the autographs, which have been authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 127.  35 Signed Baseball Cards – F. Robinson, Slaughter (2), Molitor, Fidrych, Carter, Etc. These cards range from1973-2003. All were issued unsigned. The signatures are overwhelmingly 9s and 10s. Key signatures are by Frank Robinson (2001 Fleer Greats #54), Enos Slaughter (2, 2001 Fleer Greats of the Game #34 and 2001 Upper Deck Hall of Famers #10), Paul Molitor (1993 Upper Deck #333), Gary Carter (religious card, baseball image on front), Mark Fidrych (SCD 25th anniversary card), Tim Raines (1989 Kmart #27), Tony LaRussa (2002 Topps #295) and Nomar Garciaparra (2003 Donruss #70). A personally produced promotional card also is signed by sports card dealer and promoter Alan Rosen. Danny Ozark signed a postcard issued by the Philadelphia Phils. Topps cards are signed by Ron Swoboda, Dave Duncan and Jim Colburn (1973), Chris Singleton (2000) and Mike Matheny (2001). Upper Deck: Mike Devereaux, Billy Ripken, Tony Tarasco and Randy Knorr (1993); Tom Goodwin (2000 Gold Reserve), and Goodwin, Jason Johnson and Dave Veres (2002). Fleer: Jose Oquendo (1992), Melvin Mora (2001 Tradition), Kevin Maris (Roger Maris 2001 Greats of the Game #45) and Tony Batista (2001 Premier). Ultra: Michael Barrett (2003, ex signature). Just 99: A. J. Burnett and Pablo Ozuna (1999). Pinnacle: Wilson Delgado (1998) and Ryan McGuire (1997). Also, Frank Tanana on small religious tract. Autographs authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 128.  35 Baseball Autographs – 8 Vintage Mets, Cepeda, Perez, Luzinski, Etc. Four Mets signed 1963 Jay Publishing photos: Larry Burright, Roger Craig, Jay Hook and Al Jackson. Four more autographed color photos issued by the team: Jim Fregosi, Wayne Garrett, Bud Harrelson and Ed Kranepool. Ten signatures are on two 8 ½” x 11” photos issued by Upper Deck and Winn Dixie to mark the inaugural year (1993) of the Florida Marlins. Each player signed on his image: Tony Perez, Minnie Minoso, Luis Tiant, Orlando Cepeda and Cookie Rojas. Additionally, there are autographs of Greg Luzinski on a Phillies-Citizens Bank coupon that pictures the Phillies Phanatic, Nick Strincevich (ex to ex-m), Bobby Randall and Anthony Telford on separate unlined index cards. Strincevich also signed the backs of two photos; both are low grade. An 8 ½” x 11” A page from a Cooperstown even is signed by Mudcat Grant, Al Bumbry, Frank DiPino, Dave Criscione and others. Almost all of the signatures are 9s or 10s. Autographs authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 129.  6 Autographed Issues of “Baseball Digest,” 1 “TV Guide.” Five “Baseball Digests” are from 1976: Feb., Jim Palmer, personalized; May, Frank Tanana, one scribble on cover; June, Rick Manning; Aug., Randy Jones, added “1976 N.L. Cy Young,” and Oct., Mickey Rivers. Also, the June 1991 issue, Tim Raines, and the Oct. 25-31, 1997, Jeff Conine. The autographs are 9s and 10s. The label is torn off the issued signed by Palmer. Lot 182.  Mrs. Babe Ruth Autograph. Ruth’s second wife, Claire, signed a 1969 Centennial of Baseball first day cover that has the Babe’s image as “Mrs. Babe Ruth.” She and Ruth were married from 1929 until his death in 1948. She passed away in 1976. The signature is a 10. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 186.  2 Florida Marlins Inaugural Season (1993) Baseballs Signed by 31 Different Players and Officials. Both are nm-m ONL William White baseballs. Manager Rene Lachemann signed the sweet spot of one ball, which has 17 other signatures, including team owner Wayne Huizinga. The other signatures are by Cris Carpenter, Scott Chiamparino, Bryan Harvey, Charlie Hough, Bob Natal, Orestes Destrade, Dave Magadan, Walt Weiss, Chuck Carr, Jeff Conine, Charles Jackson, Matt Turner, Doug Radar, Don Smiley, Gary Hughes and John Panagakis. The Lachemann autograph and one other are nm 7s. The rest are 9s and 10s. Gary Sheffield occupies the sweet spot of the second ball. It is signed also by Richie Lewis, Steve Decker, Benito Santiago, Alex Arias, Bret Barberie, Junior Felix, Scott Pose, Chris Hammond, Rich Renteria, Rob Nen, Rich Rodriguez and Marcel Lachemann. Almost every signature, including Sheffield’s, is a 9 or a 10. These pair of baseball are a “must” for serious Marlins collectors! Autographs authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 187.  1993 Florida Marlins Batting Helmet Signed by 34 - Sheffield, Owner Huizinga, Etc. Strong, gold autographs on the aqua helmet by Gary Sheffield, Wayne Huizinga, owner of the Marlins; Vada Pinson, Cookie Rojas, manager Rene Lachemann, Rob Nen, Gene Walter, Charles Jackson, Matt Turner, Doug Radar, Don Smiley, Dave Dombrowski, Gary Hughes, John Panagakis, Kevin Rand, Cris Carpenter, Ryan Bowen, Bryan Harvey, Charlie Hough, David Weathers, Bob Natal, Benito Santiago, Alex Arias, Bret Barberie, Orestes Destrade, Dave Magadan, Gary Scott, Walt Weiss, Chuck Carr, Jeff Conine, Monty Fariss, Junior Felix and Chris Hammond. Lot 188.  Florida Marlins 1993 Inaugural Game Display Signed by Owner Wayne Huizenga. Love him or hate him, Huizenga is responsible for the presence of major league baseball in South Florida. His signature is a large gem mint 10 on a 30” x 34 ½” matted and framed display that includes large reproductions of the program cover and ticket for the first game. The box score for the first game is also part of the limited edition display, #262 of 1993. The program cover artwork is by Denis Pereira, who also has signed. Mint print and matting, a few scuffs on the frame. Autograph authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 189.  Florida Marlins 1993 Inaugural Pitch Display Signed Twice by Charlie Hough. At Joe Robbie Stadium, Hough delivered the first Marlins’ pitch ever on April 5, 1993. The event is captured in an 11” x 14” color photo double-matted and framed with a copy of the cover for the first program and a reproduction ticket. Hough’s signature on the photo is a 10 with the date added. His autograph on the program is an nm 7. The items are mint in a frame that measures 19” x 27”. Autographs authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 190.  Florida Marlins 1997 World Champs Front Page Signed by Fernandez and Counsell. Reproduction front page from the South Florida “Sun-Sentinel” on Oct. 27, 1997 celebrating the “Marvelous World Champs!” The day before, Florida defeated Cleveland, 3-2, to capture the team’s first World Series title. Craig Counsell scored the series-winning run on a single by Edgar Renteria. The page is signed by Counsell and Alex Fernandez, the team’s winningest pitcher during the regular season. He missed the World Series with a shoulder injury. The signatures are 10s. Autographs authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 191.  2007 Florida Marlins Jersey Autographed by Cabrera, Willis, Beinfest, 51 Others. Larry Beinfest, the Marlins’ President of Baseball Operations, joined manager Fredi Gonzalez, his coaches and a host of players in signing this Majestic MLB Genuine Merchandise size L home jersey. The signatures are 9s and 10s, and the jersey is mint. Twenty-six players who appeared on the Marlins’ roster sometime during the regular season signed: Miguel Cabrera, Dontrelle Willis, Renyel Pinto, Alfredo Amezaga, Taylor Tankersley, Matt Treanor, Dan Uggla, Josh Willingham, Jason Wood, Nate Field, John Gall, Harvey Garcia, Lee Gardner, Kevin Gregg, Jeremy Hermida, Paul Hoover, Mike Jacobs, Josh Johnson, Logan Kensing, Matt Lindstrom, Randy Messenger, Sergio Mitre, Ricky Nolasco, Wes Obermueller, Miguel Olivo, Scott Olsen and Henry Owens. In addition, four coaches signed, Steve Foster, Bo Porter, Jim Presley and Carlos Tosca, along with two former coaches, Rick Kranitz and Perry Hill, and others who failed to make the roster, including Jesus Delgado, Scott Tyler, Yusmeiro Petit, Chris Volstad, Sean West, Zach Sorensen, Jason Stokes, Aaron Thompson, Nick Trzesniak, Ryan Tucker, Jesus Delgado, Joe Dillon, Jose Garcia, Christ George, Brett Hayes, Gaby Hernandez, Mike Koplove, Jacob Marceaux and Paul Mildren.
