 Lot 246. Circa 1940 Granger Display Ad Featuring Hockey HoF Player “Busher” Jackson. Starring at left wing, Jackson helped the Toronto Maple Leafs to the Stanley Cup Finals six times in the 1930s He was traded to the New York Americans in 1941. In 1998, Hockey News placed him at #55 on its list of Top 100 all-time NHL players. Printed on thin paper, the 12 ½” x 18 3/8” ad from Liggett & Myers Tobacco is technically vg-ex and has an ex to ex-m appearance. Very nice example!

 Lot 247. Lynn Patrick, Hockey HoF Center, in a 1940s Granger Display Ad. Patrick’s performance with the New York Rangers from 1934-46 earned him a place in the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1980. There, he joined his father, Lester, and uncle, Frank. His son, Craig, was enshrined in 2001. The 13 ½” x 18” in-store ad on cardboard from Liggett & Myers has undergone some color restoration, almost all in the background, at the top near Patrick’s name and above “Cool,” as well as at the bottom of the blue cigarette pack and several other locations. Except for comparatively small areas on the jersey and pants, the image of Patrick is unaffected. The ad displays well, and it is relatively scarce.
