Lot 89.  165 Different 1968 Topps Baseball Cards, Almost All Nm or Better. Quality group of primarily commons taken from vending boxes and wax packs and then carefully preserved. Almost universally, they have super-sharp corners. Centering is the main determinant of the grade. Includes #40 McLain nm, 67 Checklist nm, 72 John nm-m, 87 D. Williams nm, 103 Sutton nm, 130 Perez nm, 168 Dodgers team ex-m+, 294 Schoendienst nm+, 321 Durocher nm-m, 410 Jenkins ex-m+, 424 White Sox team nm, 454 Checklist ex-m, 472 Alston ex-m+ and 518 Checklist ex-m. The Durocher card, submitted for professional grading as representative of the group, has been graded 88 NM-MT 8 by SGC. The remaining cards grade Nm-m: 72 cards. Nm+: 8. Nm: 24. Ex-m+: 14. Ex-m: 13. Ex+: 5. Ex: 8. Vg-ex: 6. Vg: 1. Lot 91.  222 Different High-Quality 1970 Topps Baseball Cards. Primarily commons removed from vending boxes and well preserved for almost four decades, these cards are predominantly nm and better with strong corners and centering that varies. In fact, one card pulled at random from the higher-value group - #399 New York Yankees team – came back from SGC graded 88 NM-MT 8. There are some other star, rookie and other premium cards, including #62-65, 67-69 and 71, all League Leaders, 90 McCarver nm+, 128 Checklist nm+, 160 Niekro nm, 180 John nm+, 181 Anderson vg-ex, 195 World Series – Seaver Wins ex-m, 202 Orioles Celebrate ex+, 244 Checklist ex-m+, 286 Buckner rookie nm+, 343 Checklist ex-m, 346 Schoendienst vg-ex, 380 Perez vg and 440 Mazeroski nm-m. The other cards grade Nm-m: 34 cards. Nm+: 21. Nm: 18. Ex-m+: 28. Ex-m: 31. Ex+: 25. Ex: 27. Vg-ex: 20. Vg: 3. G-vg: 1. Twenty-six of these cards carry numbers ranging from 1-100, 64 from 101-200, 28 from 201-300, 62 from 301-400, five from 501-546 and three from 547-551.

Lot 95.  Topps Traded Sets – 10 1981, 1 1982 (Ripken Extra Rookie) and 10 1983. The key to this collection is the 1982 set, which is complete without the original box. SGC has graded the Cal Ripken Rookie, #98, SGC 96 MINT 9. The 1981 and 1983 sets are in their original boxes. Nine of the 1981 boxes remain sealed; in the box without the seal, the cards appear to be unhandled. Seven of the 1983 boxes are sealed. The cards in the three other boxes have been handled, and the Strawberry rookie, the key card, in the set, is present. This lot has excellent potential break-up value.
