Lot 8. Autograph of John (Blood) McNally, Hall of Fame Charter Inductee. Playing halfback and wingback, McNally was the top NFL receiver of his era (1925-38), and he was also a top-notch runner, punter, passer and defensive back. He was in the first class enshrined at Canton. His best seasons were with Green Bay. He played in the NFL as Johnny “Blood,” an alias he chose to preserve a year of college eligibility, which he never used. McNally died in 1985. His signature is in pencil on a form used to order a postcard-sized photo made from a “moving picture” frame. The printed form is matted and framed, without glass, to 17 ½ x 21 ½” with the envelope used to mail the photo to McNally, an 8” x 10” b&w Hall of Fame photo of McNally and a copy of a Goal Line Art card depicting him, The signature, “John V. McNally, is nm-m 8. As framed, the “y” in McNally is obscured, but it is present, and the matt simply needs to be re-cut to expose it. McNally’s signature is moderately difficult to come by, and this is the first utilitarian example we’ve seen. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 20. 5 Super Bowl XL Programs, Each Signed by a Steeler Including Roethlisberger. On Feb. 5, 2006, the Steelers defeated Seattle, 21-10, to capture the 40th Anniversary Super Bowl and win “One for the Thumb.” All five copies of the 228-page program, which prominently features the Lombardi Trophy on the cover, are at least nm. Each player signed a cover and supplemented his signature with his uniform number. Ben Roethlisberger signed one copy; his silver sharpie signature grades gem mint 10. Lot 21. Signed 16” x 20” Print of Willie Parker Touchdown-Bound in Super Bowl XL. Matted and framed to 20” x 24”, the photo captures Parker on a 75-yard touchdown run against the Seattle Seahawks. The run set a Super Bowl record and gave the Steelers a 14-3 lead on their way to a 21-10 victory. The print is mint, and the signature is huge and gem mint 10. Parker added “75 yd. Lot 22. Autographed Troy Polamalu Jersey with a Global Authentication CoA. The Pittsburgh Steelers’ safety signed the “3” of #43 on the back of the jersey. The signature is a 9-10. Lot 23. Troy Polamalu Autograph on an 11” x 17” Framed Print. Few defensive players are more exciting to watch than the Pittsburgh Steelers safety. Drafted in 2003, he was selected for the Pro Bowl 2004-07, was an All-Pro in 2004 and 2005 and helped Pittsburgh to win Super Bowl XL. His silver-sharpie signature is a 9-10 on Bob Weaver artwork, which is matted and framed to 18” x 11”. Impressive! Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 24. Hines Ward Signed Photo Matted and Framed with 3 Other Images. A four-time Pro Bowler, three-time All-Pro and Super Bowl XL MVP, Ward is also the Pittsburgh Steelers all-time leader in pass receptions, reception yards and reception touchdowns. He also is generally regarded as the toughest blocker among NFL wide receivers. Ward’s signature is a 9-10 on an 8” x 10” color photo. Lot 25. Super Bowl XL Celebration Print Plus 6 “Terrible Towels.” The 16” x 20” nm-m “Giclee” print from artwork by Kristy Dubinsky depicts Hines Ward twirling a “Terrible Towel” with Jerome Bettis, Ben Roethlisberger, Troy Polamalu and Bill Cowher in supporting roles. Ward was the 2005 Super Bowl MVP. Giclee prints are on canvas and have the appearance of original oil paintings. Myron Cope, the late and beloved Pittsburgh broadcaster, originated the Terrible Towel in 1975 prior to the first playoff game. The Steelers then went on to win their second straight Super Bowl, and the towel became an integral part of Steelers football. Six version’s of “Myron Cope’s Terrible Towel” are offered here, including a special version created in 2005 as Cope retired after 35 years as a Steelers broadcaster. One has the Steelers’ 75th anniversary logo (2007), one is from Super Bowl XL and one has the logo for each of the five Super Bowls won by the Steelers. The towels are 16” x 23” or slightly larger and average nm.

Lot 26. 200+ Cards of Jerome Bettis and 20 of Ben Roethlisberger. There also are 14 cards of Rod Woodson and one of Jack Lambert. These cards average at least nm. In 53 cards, Bettis is with the St. Louis Rams. Among the Bettis cards is his 1993 Topps Draft Pick, #604. The Roethlisberger cards are from 2005 and 2006. They include 2005 Playoff Absolute Tools of the Trade TT-8 #95/150 and 2006 Playoff Absolute Marks of Fame MF-13 #24/25.

Lot 27. Joey Porter Autograph on a 16” x 20” Color Photo. In seven seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Porter was a three-time Pro Bowl and All-Pro linebacker, and a member of the Super Bowl XL team. He left Pittsburgh for Miami in 2007. After Week 10 of the 2008 season, he led the NFL in sacks. The photo has several creases. His signature is strong, a gem mint 10. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 28. Joe Greene Autographed Jersey. UPDATED INFORMATION: The Hall of Fame defensive tackle signed the “7” in the “75” on the back of the MITCHELL & NESS 1975 THROWBACK jersey. The signature is an unimprovable 10, and the jersey, which is framed, is mint. THE FRONT OF THE JERSEY HAS A "THROWBACK" LABEL AND A SECOND LABEL THAT SAYS "JOE GREENE, PITTSBURGH STEELERS, 1975." THERE IS A BICENTENNIAL PATCH ON THE LEFT SHOULDER. ALSO PRESENT IS THE ORIGINAL PRICE TAG FOR THE JERSEY ALONE - $380! Greene was one of the best defensive tackles ever. Lot 29. Jack Lambert and Jack Ham Autographs on an 8” x 10” Color Photo. For nine seasons together, Lambert at middle linebacker and Ham at left linebacker helped to make the Pittsburgh Steelers a dominating defense. Ham entered the Hall of Fame in 1988, and Lambert, two years later. Their signatures are bold 10s on a photo that shows them getting an assist from Ernie Holmes. The photo is matted and framed to 13” x 15”. Lambert signs infrequently and has been known to charge $100 or so. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 30. Rocky Bleier Autograph on a 16” x 20” Color Photo. Large, bold gem mint 10 signature. Bleier added the Super Bowls in which he appeared – IX, X, XIII and XIV. An effective blocker who helped Franco Harris to have a Hall of Fame career, Bleier ran the ball well himself, and he retired as the Steelers fourth all-time leading rusher.
