Lot 339. Scarce David Geenty Figurine Inspired by Norman Rockwell’s “Bottom of the 6th.” The cover of the April 23, 1949 issue of The Saturday Evening Post featured a baseball classic by Rockwell. English sculptor David Geenty has captured the scene in three dimensions in this 10” x 5” x 9” tall figurine produced by David Grossman Creations of St. Louis. The sculpture rests on a wood base. A certificate or authen- ticity comes with the numbered figurine. Geentry is known for exceptional detail in his work, and it is evident here. The hand-painted figurine is mint.
