It is ex-m except for a couple of tiny areas of paper loss, apparently from the manufacturing process, that are no more objectionable that a print line on a modern card. The Hartsell card is g+ to vg.
Winning Bid $168.

Lot 77.  1914 T222 Fatima Frank Chance. In this card, the famous Chicago Cubs first baseman is pictured in the uniform of the New York Yankees at the end of his Hall of Fame career. The card has been either trimmed or cut short at the factory, top to bottom, by about 3/8”. The lower left corner is chipped, and there is a moderate amount of glue residue on the back. A crease approximately 1” long is also present. The image of Chance is sharp and well contrasted. P.

Winning Bid $152.

Lot 79.  1914 T222 Fatima Bill Sweeney. The image of Sweeney as a member of the Chicago Cubs is strong and well contrasted. There is a moderate amount of creasing, which is typical with this issue, and there are two very tiny areas of paper loss on the back that affect part of a single letter. There is also a moderate amount of foxing on the back, primarily in the border. G-g+.
Winning Bid $138.

Lot 80.  1919 W552 Mayfair Novelty “Baseball Position Drawings” Uncut Strip of 10 Cards. This 2 15/32” x 14 ½” strip features unnumbered color drawings of players representing various positions. The position is shown below the drawing. There is a crease in the lower right corner and on the first card on the left. Otherwise, the strip is ex and has had little handling. The set is believed to be complete at 12. Variations exist. For example, the pose for the center fielder on this strip is different from the pose on a sheet of 12 cards that we sold previously. Virtually all of the colors are different, and, unlike the sheet of 12, none of the players have letters on their uniforms. In addition, on the strip, “Pitcher” is incorrectly spelled “Picher.” The cards are Catcher, Picher, Running Base, Fielder, First Base, Batter, Shortstop, Center Field, Batter (left-handed) and Shortstop.
Winning Bid $113.
