Lot 250.  2 Game-Used Bats Signed by Mazeroski, Other Mostly Early 1970s Pittsburgh Pirates. A late 1980s Benny Distefano Louisville Slugger S318 model bat has signatures of Bill Mazeroski, Manny Sanguillen, Bob Robertson, Bob Veale, Nellie Briles (died 2005), Dave Giusti, Steve Blass, Milt May, Rennie Stennett, Nellie King, Bill Virdon and Frank Thomas, who added “The Original One, 1951-1966.” The Stennett signature grades ex-m 6 to nm 7. The others are bold, averaging mint 9. The 34 ½” bat shows good game use and has a cracked handle with a small section of wood missing. A 1976 Bill Russell Hillerich & Bradsby K55 model bat with the Bicentennial logo has signatures of Bill Virdon, Milt May, Bob Robertson, Bob Veale, Rennie Stennett and Nellie Briles.
