Lot 760.  67 Assorted Frank Sinatra B&W Photographs. These modern photos of Sinatra would be perfect for pairing with cut signatures or other memorabilia in a frame. Most measure 4” x 8” and have borders on just three sides. There are four different poses, and the photos average nm. Nice dealer lot.

Lot 761.  The Lunar Landing: 1969 “Trip to the Moon” Poster, Related 45 RPM Record. The Cleveland Plain Dealer newspaper issued the 36” x 25” color poster, which contains illustrations of the landing on the moon and photos of 23 astronauts, including the Apollo 11 crew – Buzz Aldrin, Michael Collins and Neil Armstrong. John Glenn also is pictured. Nm with folds as issued. The record from MGM is titled “First Man on the Moon, July, 1969” and narrated by Hugh Downs. Ex. There also is an 8” x 10” page with color logos of 10 Apollo missions, ex.

Lot 762.  Non-Sport Collection Focusing on the 1969 Moon Landing, Presidents, Israel. Ten of the 33 items in this collection center on the lunar landing. Three are 1969 issues of Life magazine, dated July 25, Aug. 8 and Aug. 22. They average vg-ex. The landing is also the front-page subject of two New York newspapers on July 21, the Times and the Daily News, g-vg. Five 3 ½” pins, all the same, from Life memorialize the trip to the moon. In addition, the April 15, 1981 N.Y. Times reports on the first Columbia flight, g-vg, and two tie tacks, mint in their original boxes, mark the second orbital flight of the Columbia, by Joe Engle and Dick Truly, in 1981. Presidents or family members are the lead subject of The New York Times: “Nixon Resigns,” Aug. 9, 1974, and Newsweek: Gerald Ford, Aug. 19, 1974; Richard Nixon, May 2, 1994, and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, May 30, 1994. They average vg-ex. Two other 1994 Newsweek issues deal with the first 60 years of the magazine and D-Day. A newspaper bridges Presidents and Israel. A 1978 issue of New York’s The Trib carries the headline “Peace for Israel: It’s In Carter’s Lap,” vg-ex. The Lincoln Mint is the source of 14 promotional cards describing forthcoming medals in a series titled “The Birth of Israel.” Each card describes a medal in detail. Most have some writing on the front; otherwise, they average ex. There also are two Mercedes Benz oversized (14 ½” x 22”) calendars, one from 1985 with a horse theme and another from 1986 with an automobile theme. Ex. A press release from the auto company accompanies the horse calendar. The collection includes a Charge of the Light Brigade film press booklet, starring Vanessa Redgrave, vg-ex. Finally, a 1994 issue of the New York Daily News presents “75 Years of Pictures,” vg-ex. Nice dealer lot.

Lot 763.  1980 Paramount Press Book Promoting Steve McQueen’s Last Movie, The Hunter. Rare 14-page booklet with stories, cast and credits, as well as display ads for placement in newspapers. Ex and very clean. Later in 1980, the film industry lost McQueen to lung cancer. Very nice piece of ephemera promoting his last performance.

Lot 764.  75+ Beer Coasters from Germany, Ireland and the U.S. At least three-fourths of the coasters are nm or better. Most are about 4 ¼” in diameter. Perhaps the most interesting are 20 from the Munich Hofbrauhaus that have five different humorous cartoon scenes of beer drinkers. There are four of each. Other German beers represented are Konig Pilsener, Feldschlosschen, Lowenbrau, Maisel, Johann Gottfried, Paulaner, Konigsbacher, Binding and several others. There are five coasters for Samuel Adams and six (two different designs) for Harp.
