Lot 205.  1940s Full-Sized Pennant for the College All-Star Game at Soldier Field. From 1934-76, the NFL champion and top college players met in a pre-season game in Chicago. The pennant, 10 ¾” x 28 ½”, is ex-m.

Lot 206.  2 Cleveland Browns Pennants 1950s-60s. Both are full-sized. 1. Has the brownie mascot, the NFL logo and “The Cleveland Browns.” The brownie is the variation with a crown, marking the dominance of the Browns in the NFL in the 1950s. One tassel is missing; otherwise, ex-m. 2. Dated 1967, has a two-bar face mask with a helmet on a brown field, has the NFL logo and says “Cleveland Browns.” Vg-ex.

Lot 207.  Penn State, Alabama Football Pennants + a Bear Bryant Record Album. Pennants are 12” x 29.” The Penn State pennant has the Nittany Lion logo and says “Penn State” in navy blue on white. Vg-ex with a small amount of staining. The Alabama pennant in red, gray and white shows an elephant emerging from an “A” and says “Alabama Crimson Tide.” Pin holes at the tip and corners, vg, ex appearance. Also, a 1972 sealed 33 1/3 R.P.M. record “University of Alabama presents… Bear Bryant’s Five Greatest Tide Football Games.” Nm.

Lot 209.  Jerry Rice Oakland Raiders Authentic Black and Silver Reebok Jersey. “On Field NFL Equipment” size 54 jersey from Reebock, the NFL’s official provider, made “to the exact specifications of the (NFL).” A great collectible representing one of the NFL’s greatest players. These jerseys typically sell for at least $200. Mint.

Lot 210.  Gigantic Billboard-Sized “Got Milk” John Elway Advertising Poster. The HoF QB wears a milk moustache and a Broncos’ jersey. Poster is 4 feet by 6 feet, technically vg with some edge tears, and displays as much better. Got room?

Lot 211.  San Francisco 49ers Jacket and Super Bowl XIX Jacket for a 49ers Fan. Each jacket is like new, adult size L and has a logo on the front. The Super Bowl jacket says “San Francisco 49’ers” on the back.

Lot 271.  15 1922-24 Mid-Week Pictorials - Football Boxing, Olympics, Golf, Tennis Photos. Complete issues of the weekly New York Times tabloid, most with 24 pages. The Summer Olympics are the topic of two-page spreads in two 1924 issues. A related full-page photo shows Helen Wills, 1924 tennis gold medal winner. Two editions have football covers: Walter Taylor, NYU captain and Bill Mallory, Yale captain. An Army-Navy game photo occupies two pages. Boxing receives extensive coverage. There are four full pages on the upcoming Firpo-Dempsey bout and pictures of Greb, Johnny Wilson, Carpentier (full page), Leonard, Ciriqui and Willard. A 1924 issue has two pages on the U.S. Open Golf Tournament won by Cyril Walker. Elsewhere, photos capture Walter Hagen and Gene Sarazen. Track and field is represented by Charles Paddock in multiple photos. The Sept. 21, 1922 issue has a rare photo of an African-American athlete, Dehart Hubbard, a broad jumper from the U. of Michigan. Other interesting figures are Roald Amundsen, discoverer of the South Pole, and Mary Pickford. Most issues are separated at the spine, and the paper is brittle with edge chips and tears. Most photos are unaffected, or only minimally affected. Some covers have pencil notations.

Lot 600.  Pittsburgh Pirates, Steelers and Pitt Commemoratives 1971-2001. This collection celebrates the success of these teams at Three Rivers Stadium. 1. Aug. 7, 1987 program from the night that Bill Mazeroski’s #9 was retired, vg-ex. 2. 1976 scorebook with a covering honoring Maz for his home run as the Pirates’ “Most Memorable Moment” and Roberto Clemente as the team’s “Most Memorable Personality.” Ex+. 3. 1994 All-Star Game ballot.
