 Lot 582. Pittsburgh Pirates Team-Issued Photos of Dino Restelli, Bill Mazeroski. Restelli played only two seasons of major league baseball, both with Pittsburgh, in 1949 and 1951. He started off his rookie season with a bang, hitting eight homeruns in his first 10 games. In the next 62 games, he hit only four homers. After the 1951 season, the San Francisco native returned home and joined the police force. His circa 1950 photo is 4” x 5” with creases in the bottom right corner and several tack holes in the border. G-vg with a strong sepia image. The Maz photo, probably from the early 1960s, is b&w, 8” x 10” and shows evidence of press use on the back. Vg+ to ex.

 Lot 596. Negative, Photo of Roberto Clemente in a Montreal Royals Uniform. While Clemente was still playing in Puerto Rico, the Brooklyn Dodgers offered him a contract to play with the Montreal Royals, where he stayed until the Pittsburgh Pirates drafted him in Nov, 1954. This 2 3/8” x 3 3/8” negative shows a young Clemente in the Montreal uniform. A 6” x 8” print made from the negative is included. The image is also on a computer disc.
