They average vg-ex; three have a news stand notation on the front, the Oct. issue has minor cover scribbling, and all have a stamp with the owner’s name. The March 1955 issue, which is g-vg, has Connie Mack on the cover with the headline “The End of an Era.” Bobby Thomson is on the cover of the May 1955 issue of Sport. There is an apparent news stand notation; otherwise, vg+. Joe Reicher, baseball editor for the Associated Press, is the author of Inside the Majors, a 192-page magazine-sized paperback that profiles one player or more for each major league team.
