Lot 12. 1874 Harper’s Weekly Print of the “Maple Leaf Base-Ball Club” of Guelph, Canada. Colorized 6 ½” x 9” engraving of the team from Guelph has a ¾” tear in the upper left corner that has been reinforced on the back with tape. Otherwise, it is free of creases and other defects. From the Sept. 12 issue. Displays very nicely.

The pet of the nine.” Two copies, one vg-ex and the other, vg-ex with the ad trimmed. “Something must be done.” Two, one g-vg and the other with the ad trimmed, otherwise vg-ex. “Struck out.”

Lot 15. Uncataloged 1906 Newspaper “Fanograph” Issue Featuring George W. Ramsey. Obscure issue from a July 10, 1906 newspaper, possibly the Boston Press. Labeled “Fanograph No. 15,” the issue is about 5 ¼” x 10 ¼”, has a cartoon image of Ramsey as a pitcher with a “B” on his jersey, and has a four-line poem below Ramsey’s image. The newspaper isn’t identified, but “on Press” shows at the top. Ramsey never played major league baseball. The newsprint issue is adhered to stiff cardboard and has an ex appearance. It’s a “type,” but exactly what type?!!

Lot 16. 1909 E95 Philadelphia Caramel #2 Nick Maddox. This card was either cut short at the factory or trimmed left to right; it measures 1 /3/8” rather than the standard 1 ½”. It has moderate stains on the front and significant stains on the back. There are no major creases, and the colors are strong. P.
