Lot 753.  1954 R707-4 Topps Wings Near Complete Set – 183 of 200. This beautiful vintage Topps near set averages vg-ex to ex with some cards in better and others in lesser condition.

Lot 754.  1955 R714-17 Topps Rails and Sails - 56 of the First 80 Cards. Ex overall, with a number of cards in better, and others in lesser condition. All of the cards are rails.

Lot 755.  Set of 4 Obscure 1950s Davy Crockett Transfers. They are similar to the 1956 “Hot Iron Patches” issued about 1956 by Swell (Philadelphia) Bubble Gum. They are about 3 ½” x 6 ¾” with some variation in size. Technically, they grade vg to vg-ex because the thin paper shows light creases or wrinkles that appear to be a result of the manufacturing process. The transfers show little evidence of handling, and the corners are ex-m to nm. One transfer is titled “Indian Fighter,” and another, “Great Hunter,” shows Crockett fighting a bear. The third contains images from Crockett’s life and death – a coonskin cap, guns, a log cabin and the Alamo. The fourth has a portrait drawing of Crockett and related images.

Lot 758.  1956 Topps Jets Near Set - 216 of 240 + 2 Jets Photo Albums. The cards, which are housed in the albums, grade ex overall. They are tipped in, not pasted. Each album holds 120 cards. The albums are vg-ex; the checklists on the inside back covers are marked in pencil. The missing cards include 19 from series 1-120 and 5 from series 121-140.

Lot 766.  1965 Philadelphia Gum “War Bulletin” Set of 88, Display Box, Wrappers. The box displays extremely well. It has light stains at the back of the lid and on the back and bottom panels. The colors are bright and bold, and the box is rigid, free of creases with only some slight unevenness on the back section of the lid. The cards all have stains; the corners are strong. The two different wrappers are vg-ex.
