Lot 19.  Rare 1928-29 Boston Garden Official Program Focusing on NHL Pioneers, Boxing. Hockey is literally front-and-center in this 64-page program that is extensively illustrated with photos. Both the Boston Bruins and the Harvard hockey team are featured. It was only four years earlier that the Bruins had become the first NHL franchise in the U.S. The program contains a Bruins team picture, as well as three pages of individual photos with brief biographical sketches. Among the notables pictured are Art Ross, Eddie Shore, Dit Clapper, Harry Oliver and Cooney Weiland. Six pages are devoted to Harvard and amateur hockey. Two pages summarize the 1927-28 NHL season, and standings for the 1924-25 to 1927-28 seasons are presented. The center spread contains the lineups for a Harvard-Dartmouth game. Boxing also receives substantial attention, with photos of Jack Dempsey, “Honey Boy” Finnegan, Joe Dundee, Gus Sonnenberg and Mickey Walker. The program has been vertically folded, and there is some damage to the upper right of the front cover and first six inside pages. Rare program with great artwork on the cover and outstanding content.

Lot 240.  1961-62 Boston Bruins Official Hockey Program. The game vs. The New York Rangers occurred on Feb. 2, 1962. The rangers won by a score of 5 to 3. The program is scored. That notwithstanding the program is exceptionally nice. Ex-m.

Lot 241.  Chicago Black Hawks Circa 1940 Replica Hockey Jersey. “Barber Poll” style, sweater is black, red and white striped with a 7” diameter Black Hawks patch on the front. Perhaps one of the nicest-styled jerseys from any sport. NHL Heritage trademark. The jersey is size L/XL G/T.

Lot 242.  Highland Mint Silver Medallions of Lindros, Messier, Vanbiesbrouck. Issued in 1994-96, these medallions each contain one troy ounce of .999 fine silver. Highland issued 5,000 of each medallion. Each comes in the original jeweler’s case with a Certificate of Authenticity. All are mint. Players are Eric Lindros, Mark Messier and John Vanbiesbrouck.

Lot 244.  Just in Time for the Holidays - 15 1993 Glass National Hockey League Ornaments! Produced by Topperscot of Denver for the Sports Collector Series, these ornaments, which are 3 ½” in diameter, each have the logo of an NHL team on one side. The teams represented are the Bruins, Canadiens, Canucks, Capitals, Devils, Flames, Islanders, Lightning, Kings, Maple Leafs, Oilers, Nordiques (now the Colorado Avalanche), Panthers, Sabres and Stars. The ornaments are at least nm-m, unused in their original boxes. You could decorate whatever you decorate for the season for as little as our

Lot 245.  11 Hockey Posters, 7 Honoring the Canadiens, and a Stephane Richer Autograph. Four celebrate Montreal’s 1993 Stanley Cup Championship; two are mint in their original wrapping. Two other Montreal posters also are unrolled; one is titled “Canadiens Masks.” A poster about 33” x 25 ½” provides a tribute to the Forum with photos of Canadiens stars through the decades. Another pictures Patrick Roy. The unrolled posters generally are vg to vg-ex. Stephane Richer’s autograph is on the felt bottom of an 8” Stanley Cup ceramic replica, which has been broken and repaired. The signature, unaffected and grading 8-9 of 10, has been authenticated by Kevin Keating. An unrolled nm-m poster has a collage of NHL team logos, and another titled “Mighty Ducks Wild Wings.” Two other posters represent the 1993-94 Mighty Ducks in their inaugural season and the 1999 Stanley Cup Champion Dallas Stars.

Lot 246.  Pennant, Cereal Boxes Celebrating the Penguins’ 1991 Stanley Cup Title. The Pittsburgh team defeated Minnesota in a six-game series for the 1991 Championship. The full-sized pennant, which identifies the two competing teams and pictures the Stanley Cup, is vg. The fronts of two unfolded 18-ounce Wheaties boxes picture the Penguins celebrating, and the back has a team photo. Both vg-ex. Two other 18-ounce Wheaties boxes have Jaromir Jagr and Mario Lemieux, “Two Great Hockey Champions,” on the front and back. Unfolded, one vg-ex, one vg.
