Lot 193.  Vintage Engraved Plate with a Goodwin Old Judge Image of Billy Sunday. In the Sports Collectors Digest 2007 Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards, this image is listed as “Pittsburgh, bat at side.” A Goodwin & Co. copyright is noted below Sunday’s image, which is printed on a 5 ¼” x 7 ¾”, blank-backed page made from coated stock. A few small, very light, inoffensive surface creases are present. Displays as ex-m. The value of this image on an nm N173 Old Judge Cabinet card is $3,500.

Lot 195.  Numbered “Bra-Mac” 1939-40 Cincinnati Reds Colorized Baseball Photo Set of 48. The photos produced from George Brace negatives each measure 3 ½” x 5.” They are numbered 1 to 48. Each features an individual player who was with the Reds during the 1930s-40s. Key photos include: Wally Berger, Vince DiMaggio, Ernie Lombardi, Bill McKechnie, Al Simmons, Johnny Vander Meer, Bucky Walters. Nm-nm-m overall.

Lot 196.  58 Unnumbered and 6 Numbered “Bra-Mac” Colorized Baseball Photos – All Reds. These photos were produced from George Brace negatives. They feature individual players who were with the Cincinnati Reds during the 1930s-40s. Each photo measures 3 ½” x 5.” The photos were manufactured with rounded corners. Key photos include: Ernie Lombardi, Bill McKechnie, Chick Hafey, Johnny Vander Meer, Al Simmons and Vince DiMaggio. In most cases the name of the pictured player in a given photo is printed neatly at the top of the back of the photo. The printing notwithstanding the photos are nm to nm-m overall.

Lot 197.  115 Chicago Cubs Photos. Ninety of the photos are 8” x 10”, and the rest, issued in the early 1970s, are 3 ½” x 5”. Among the smaller photos are Banks, Hooten, Kessinger, Madlock, Marshall and Trillo. Almost all of the 8” x 10” photos are color. The players include Banks (3), Lee Smith (2), Brock (2), Bowa, Dawson, Dunston, Durham, Durocher, Gossage, Grace, Hartnett, Jenkins, Madlock, Greg Maddux, Palmeiro, Sandberg (2), Santo, Sauer, Sosa, Sutcliffe, Sutter, Tanner, Walton, Williams and Zimmer. About a half-dozen photos are second-generation. Nm+.

Among the smaller photos are Garner, Blue, Reggie Jackson, Hunter and Billy Williams. The color 8” x 10” photos include: Canseco (3), Eckersley, Fingers, Henderson (2), Hunter (2), Reggie Jackson, Kingman, LaRussa, Billy Martin, McGwire, Blue and Dusty Baker. Photos are nm+ overall. The sets: Granny Goose Potato Chips A’s 1981 complete set of 15 – Revering and Henderson are both ex+, the set ex+ overall. 1982 Granny Goose complete set of 15 overall nm+. 1983 Granny Goose complete set of 15 overall ex+. 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989 and 1992 Mother’s Cookies complete sets of 28 cards each. These sets are nm-m overall. The starter sets: 1969 Oakland A’s (Andersen) 11 of 21 cards overall ex-m+ including #5 Joe DiMaggio and 27 Catfish Hunter both ex-m+. 1970 Oakland A’s (Andersen) 24 of 45 cards overall nm to nm-m including #9 Reggie Jackson nm.

Lot 199.  Lou Gehrig 8” x 10” Black and White Photo. The photo has the look and texture of a premium. The source and date are unknown. Gehrig appears in Yankee pinstripe pants wearing a warm-up jacket. His name is at the bottom. A great Gehrig image on an item that we have seen only once before. Ex.

Lot 200.  1952 Connie Mack and Chief Bender 7” x 9” UPI Telephoto. Bender receives a “scroll of tribute” from Jack Lohrmen, president of the Philadelphia Jr. Chamber of Commerce, as Mack looks on. Vg-ex. The caption is attached to the back.
