J. W. Fulbright, Jan. 22, 1965, gem mint 10 with “U.S. Senate 1965” added. U.S. senator from Arkansas; Fulbright scholarships named for him. Died 1995. 5. Hubert Humphrey, April 1, 1966. Signature is bold but shows as an ex-m 6 to a nm 7 because of the dark background. Senator from Minnesota, Vice President 1965-69. Lost the 1968 Presidential election to Richard Nixon. Died 1978. 6. Sargent Shriver, May 13, 1966, nm-m 8. Kennedy-family in-law who helped to create the Peace Corps and ran the War on Poverty. 7. Eugene McCarthy, March 22, 1968, nm-m 8. Lot 724. Arthur Rubinstein Autograph on the Cover of the Feb. 25, 1966 Time. Born in Poland, Rubinstein was one of the great piano virtuosos of the 20th Century. He died in 1982. His signature in red is a mint 9 on the Time cover, which was folded for mailing. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
