Premium Baseball Memorabilia   10 Lots

Lot 22.  2 Arched Windows from the Entrance Area of Forbes Field. Completed in 1909, Forbes Field was demolished in 1971. Throughout the history of the ballpark, these 5’ x 10’ arched windows graced the entrance façade. Forbes Field was home to both the Pittsburgh Pirates and Pittsburgh Steelers. After the Pirates razed Forbes Field, they used a number of these arched windows as a backdrop for the bar at the Allegheny Club in their new home, Three Rivers Stadium. Apparently as a result, mirrored surfaces were substituted for the glass panels. It is difficult to imagine a better backdrop, or a better conversation piece, than one of these windows housed in the right home or sports bar. Here is your chance to bid on one or both of the windows. Please note: Two windows are available. You are bidding on ONE. The winning bidder will have the option of taking one or both windows. If the winner takes both, the amount due will be 2 times the winning bid. If the winner takes only one, the second window will be offered to the under-bidder at the winning bid. Please note also: Shipping by freight to California is about $1,400. This number does not include insurance. Delivery within 3 hours of the Pittsburgh area can be arranged. Shipping or delivery is in addition to the winning bid.
Winning Bid $862.
