Lot 168.  1968-69 Tommy Dean-Bart Shirley-Manny Mota L.A. Dodgers Home Jersey. This Jersey was made for Tommy Dean, who was cut before the 1968 season. Bart Shirley wore it in 1968. This information is paraphrased from the letter of opinion indicating authenticity from Mears, which will comes with the jersey. A Mears hologram is on the jersey. A superb historical piece with tremendous display potential, this jersey features “Dodgers” in Dodger Blue across the chest with the number 11 beneath in red and number 11 in Dodger Blue on the reverse.

His name was removed from the back of the jersey, which was then sent to the minor leagues. This information is paraphrased from the letter of opinion indicating authenticity from Mears, which will be included with the jersey to the winning bidder. After his stint as a major league baseball player, DeBusschere continued his Hall of Fame basketball career and became the youngest coach in the NBA.
Winning Bid $1,183.

Lot 170.  1962 Chicago White Sox Home Jersey Made for Cal McLish. Prior to the 1962 season, the White Sox traded McLish to the Phillies. The jersey was then worn in 1963-64 spring training by an unknown player. This information is paraphrased from the letter of opinion indicating authenticity from Mears; the letter accompanies the jersey. McLish was brought directly from American Legion ball to the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1944. He then pitched for several years in the Pacific Coast League. In 1958 he went 16 and 8 with the Cleveland Indians, and improved to 19-8 in 1959.

Davis had one of the best seasons of his career in Baltimore in 1998, batting a career-high.327, hitting 28 homes runs and driving in 89. These achievements came after he successfully battled colon cancer and actually retired from baseball because of injuries. His autograph on an Orioles jersey is scarce.
