Lot 53.  7 Signed 1950s-60s Pittsburgh Pirates Postcards Including an Early Maz Signature. Seven of the cards were mailed in 1958, and two in the early 1960s. The early Bill Mazeroski fountain pen signature, which varies substantially from his current autograph, is at the bottom of a postcard mailed from Barberton, Ohio, in 1958. The signature is a 7-8. Other postcards were signed by: ElRoy Face, a beautiful 10. Hank Foiles, 9. Ronnie Kline (deceased), 9, very strong autograph, minor bleed on the “nn.” Vernon Law, (2), one a 9, the other 6-7. Frank Thomas, 6-7. Cards with facsimile autographs are Haddix, Murtaugh and Skinner. The condition of the cards is f to f-g. Autographs authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 55.  1950s Pittsburgh Pirates Popcorn Megaphone Autographed by Max Carey. Unused ex-m megaphone with a fountain pen 10 Carey signature. The Hall of Fame outfielder added, “May success always be yours.” Carey died in 1976.

Lot 59.  Signed Photo, Figurine Marking Mazeroski’s World Series Winning Home Run. Few events in baseball history are more memorable than Bill Mazeroski’s seventh-game 9th-inning World Series home run that gave the Pittsburgh Pirates an improbable win over the New York Yankees. The photo shows fans congratulating Maz as he rounds third base. The autograph is a 10. The 7 ½” figurine, given away by the Pirates, commemorates 45th anniversary of the event,. Lot 62.  100 Clemente Memorabilia Calendars Including One Autographed by His Family. These “lifetime calendars” were issued in 1994 in conjunction with the Major League All-Star Game at the price of $12.95 each. They picture rare Clemente memorabilia such as uniforms, bats, shoes, awards and cards. We offer two sealed cases with 50 calendars each plus an example signed by Clemente’s two sons and wife, Vera, It is #47 of 100. The retail value is more than $1000, but you can get in at our low MB.

Lot 99.  Stan Musial Signed Autobiography, Ticket Stub, Pass from His Final Game. On the front end-page of his book, Stan Musial: “The Man’s” Own Story, Musial placed a large, bold sharpie signature that rates a 10. A stated first edition, the book is nm with a vg-ex dj. From Musial’s final game on Sept. 29, 1963, a ticket stub and a grand stand pass. Each has a staple hole. Underappreciated today, Musial was highly regarded during his career. In 1956, The Sporting News named him the “Player of the Decade.” His statistics compare favorably with Joe DiMaggio and Ted Williams’. As a bonus: snapshots of Musial and his locker, two 3 ½” “Stan the Man” pins and a 4/19/58 Saturday Evening Post with an article on Musial. Autograph authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 151.  New York Yankees “Captains” Photo Autographed by Don Mattingly. This 11” x 14” photo features multiple images of three popular Yankee captains of the modern era – Mattingly, Derek Jeter and Thurman Munson. These images are set against Yankee Stadium. The Yankees’ logo is prominently featured in the photo, which has a crease in upper left outside the image area. Mattingly’s sharpie signature is a strong 10. The photo comes with a CoA signed by Mattingly’s agent, Ray Schulte. Less than 100 of these photos have been produced, and even fewer have been signed. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 152.  Willie Mays Autograph on an 18” x 24” Robert Stephen Simon Print. The colorful photographic print has a ½” scuff away from Mays’ image and several light creases. The Mays autograph is a large, sharpie 9-10. Unusual Mays item. Authen- ticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 153.  Original Oil Painting Autographed by Phil Niekro. This 11” x 14” oil on board painting depicts Niekro ready to deliver a pitch for the Atlanta Braves. A. Tocklear created the painting, which is dated 1983 and housed in an antique wooden frame. Niekro signed the background of the painting in large, white letters. The signature grades 10 of 10. Niekro’s 318 victories earned him a place in the Hall of Fame in 1997. Authenticated by Kevin Keating. One-of-a-kind.

Lot 154.  Mike Schmidt Autograph on a Ron Lewis Print. Both Schmidt and Lewis applied sharpie 10 signatures to this 17” x 22 ½” print, #126 of 1,500, which is matted and framed to 20” x 26”. Mint print with four images of the Hall of Fame third baseman. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 155.  7 Autographed Hall of Fame Gold Plaque Postcards. These cards, ex or better unless noted, were signed on the front by Jocko Conlan, Stanley Coveleski, Rick Ferrell (vg), Travis Jackson, Ted Lyons, Hoyt Wilhelm and Billy Williams. All except Williams are deceased. The Coveleski (ballpoint), Ferrell, Lyons, Wilhelm and Williams autographs are essentially unimprovable 10s. Conlan’s is a 9, and Jackson’s, a 7-8 as a result of the way the sharpie ink flowed onto the glossy surface of the cards. Authenticated by Kevin Keat- ing.

Lot 156.  Postcard-Sized Brace Photos Signed by Dickey, Grimes, Hoyt, Roush, Terry. All five photos are George Brace products. Bill Dickey, Waite Hoyt and Wm H (Bill) Terry signed 3 ½” x 5 3/8” b&w photos. Dickey’s signature, an 8, is personalized. The Terry signature is an 8, and the Hoyt, a strong 10 with “Good Luck” added. Burleigh A. Grimes and Edd Roush signed 3 ½” x 5” color photos. Both signatures are 10s. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
