Lot 636.  Brian Bosworth Autograph on an Oklahoma U. Brown & White Football. A linebacker, Bosworth finished fourth in the 1986 Heisman Trophy balloting and then played for 2+ seasons with the Seattle Seahawks. His signature is a 10 on an nm football. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 637.  Oklahoma U. Mini Helmet Autographed by 1972 Heisman Runner-Up Greg Pruitt. Below his signature, Pruitt added his uniform number, “30,” and “1999 HoF,” marking his induction into the College Hall of Fame. Riddell helmet is nm-m, and the autograph is 10 of 10. Lot 638.  Oklahoma U. Football Signed by 2 Heisman Winners - Steve Owens and Billy Sims. The nm brown & white football is an edition limited to 3,000. To his signature, Owens added “#36,” and Sims, “#20, #78 Heisman.” Owens’ signature is a 10, and Sims’, 9. Owens won both the Heisman Trophy and the Walter Camp Trophy in 1969. He played pro football for Detroit. From 1996-98, he was Oklahoma’s athletic director. He was elected to the College Hall of Fame in 1991. Sims won the Heisman in 1978 and finshed second in 1979. He had three 1,000-yard seasons with Detroit before an knee injury ended his career. He was elected to the College HoF in 1995.

Lot 639.  8” x 10” Color Photos Signed by Oklahoma U.’s Billy Sims, Greg Pruitt. Sims won the Heisman Trophy in 1978, and Pruitt was the runner-up in 1972. The Sims photo is nm-m, while the Pruitt photo has a tiny edge chip outside Pruitt’s image. Both signatures are 10s. Pruitt added “30” after his signature, and Sims, “#20 ’78 - Heisman.

Lot 640.  Barry Switzer Autograph on an Oklahoma U. Brown & White Football. Signed also by Tom Lott. In 16 seasons as head coach, Switzer led Oklahoma to three national championships - 1974, 1975 and 1985, and 12 Big Eight Conference titles. His teams won eight of 13 bowl appearances. His 16-year record was 157-29-4. When he retired after the 1988 season, his winning percentage, .837, was the fourth highest in history among 1-A coaches. Switzer’s signature on this nm-m ball is a 10, and so is Lott’s. “85 Natl Champs!” is written on the opposite side of the panel Switzer signed.

Lot 641.  Joe Washington Autograph on an Oklahoma U. Brown & White Football. In 1974 and 1975, Washington finished in the top 5 among Heisman Trophy candidates, losing twice to Ohio State’s Archie Griffin. But it was the Sooners that finished both seasons atop the AP poll. And it was Washington’s brilliant running that was the key to their success. He still holds the Oklahoma record for career all-purpose yards. After Oklahoma, he played in the NFL for San Diego, Baltimore and Washington. In four of his nine NFL seasons, he gained more than 1,000 yards passing and receiving. In 1979, he led the league in receptions. He was elected to the College HoF in 2005. His signature is a 10 on a nm-m ball. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 645.  George Halas Signature - Signed “George” - on Chicago Bears Stationery. Typed letter on his colorful Bears’ letterhead dated 1970 and sent to HoF writer Jim Murray, complimenting him on an article. Comes with a copy of the article that prompted Halas’ letter. Lot 646.  1988 Swell Greats Card Autographed by Don Hutson. Card #59 is ex. Hutson’s sharpie signature is a 10. The Alabama All-American and Green Bay Packers superstar end is in the College and Pro Halls of Fame. He died in 1963. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 649.  Dec. 1955 Issue of Sport Signed Twice by Hugh McElhenny. A Hall of Fame enshrinee, McElhenny starred for the San Francisco Forty-Niners in one of the greatest backfields ever - with Y.A. Tittle, Joe Perry and John Henry Johnson. G-vg issue with another name in pencil. McElhenny placed a large, bold sharpie 10 signature on the cover. He also signed over his image on page 29. This signature also is a 10. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
