Lot 59.  2001 AFC Pro Bowl Football Signed by 60 Including Brady, Cowher, Martin, Lewis. These brown & white Pro Bowl footballs are given only to players, coaches and executives. The signatures on this ball, all on white panels in black sharpie, are bold 10s with few exceptions. Among the signers are Tom Brady, Bill Cowher, Curtis Martin, Ray Lewis, Mike Mularkey, Dick Hoak, Alan Faneca, Bruce Matthews, Larry Centers, John Randle, Keyshawn Johnson, Tim Brown, Willy Robinson, Hines Ward, Kordell Stewart and Jarmir Miller. Lot 60.  1950 Cleveland Contract Signed by HoF Members Bert Bell and Paul Brown, as well as Browns lineman Lindell L. Houston. Brown (died 1991) is in the Hall of Fame for his success as the Browns’ coach, and Bell (d. 1959) contributed significantly to the growth of the league as its first commissioner. Houston died in 1995. All of the signatures are 10s. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 61.  Cover of a 1960 Colts at Bears Program Signed by Pros of the 1920s and 1930s. Signers include: Frank R. Halas, brother of Bears owner George Halas. Jim McMillen, Bears guard 1924-28. He died in 1984. “Tony” Holm (d. 1978), who played 1931-33 with Portsmouth, the Chicago Cardinals and Pittsburgh. Bernard Masterson (d. 1963), Bears quarterback and defensive back 1934-40. Joe Osmanski (d.1993), Bears 1946-49, NY Bulldogs, 1949. Bill Osmanski (d. 1996), Bears 1939-47. Dick Stahlman (d. 1970), various teams including Green Bay and the Bears, 1924-33. Signatures are 9s and 10s on a vg program with an uneven left side and several punch holes. These autographs are very scarce. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 62.  Special Autographed Football Commemorating Jerry Rice’s Career TD Record. On Sept. 5, 1994 on Monday Night Football, Rice scored his 127th touchdown to eclipse the record held by Jim Brown. This NFL-San Francisco Giants ball marks the event and presents Rice’s statistics through the 1993 season. Rice signed to the right of the number “127” and a drawing of himself. Nm-m ball with a 10 of 10 autograph. Comes with a certificate from the Sports Management Group. Authen- ticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 64.  Texas Replica Football Helmet Signed by 1998 Heisman Winner Ricky Williams. Full-sized nm helmet is signed in sharpie by Williams, whose signature is a 10. Many cards are signed by deceased players, including Hutson, Landry, Musso, Walker, Unitas, Graham, Canadeo, Connor, Ewbank, Nitschke, Weinmeister, Schramm, Hirsch, Badgro and Stautner. Other key signers are Griese, Alworth, Ringo, Ditka, Berry, Biletnikoff, Bednarik, Blanda, Jurgensen, Ham, Warfield, Otto, Mix and Franco Harris. Only the Graham autograph is personalized. Lot 264.  Nov. 20, 1964 Time Signed by Notre Dame Hall of Fame Coach Ara Parseghian, who revived the football fortunes of the Fighting Irish in the 1960s. Ex issue, great cover art, unimprovable 10 of 10 signature. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 272.  Sept. 16, 1945 Life Autographed by Army’s Glenn Davis and Doc Blanchard. Together, they were known as the “Touchdown Twins,” and they won back-to-back Heisman Trophies. Blanchard, “Mr. Inside,” was named the nation’s top college player in 1945, and Davis, “Mr. Outside,” captured the award in 1946. They led Army to three consecutive national championships. Their coach, Red Blaik, called Blanchard “the quickest starter I ever saw” and Davis, “the greatest halfback I ever knew.” Davis died last year. This is one of the finest items you’re likely find signed by these two college Hall of Fame players. The magazine, without a label, is ex, and the autographs are 10s. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 273.  1947 Life Color Cover Signed by Notre Dame Heisman Winner Johnny Lujack. After starring for the Fighting Irish and winning the Heisman Trophy in 1947, Lujack played quarterback and defensive back for the Chicago Bears for four seasons. He signed the Sept. 29, 1947 issue of Life in blue sharpie, and his signature is a 10. He is in the College Hall of Fame. Prior to the 1950s, Life seldom printed color covers. This issue, without a label, is ex+. Auth- enticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 274.  1948 Life Color Cover Signed by SMU Heisman Trophy Winner Doak Walker. A member of both the Pro and College Halls of Fame, Walker led SMU to an unbeaten season in 1948 to earn the Heisman award. After college, he starred at halfback for Detroit. He died in 1998. Walker’s blue sharpie signature is on a rare color Life cover without a lable. Almost all of the magazine’s covers were printed in black & white in the 1940s. The issue is ex wo a labeland the signature is a large, beautiful 10. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.

Lot 330.  1955 Issues of Sports Illustrated Signed by Doak Walker and Skeeter Werner, Walker’s wife. Doak’s signature on the Oct. 3 issue in blue sharpie rates 10 of 10. Walker was a Hall of Fame halfback for SMU and then for the Detroit Lions. He won the Heisman Trophy in 1948. His wife, an Olympic skier, also signed in blue sharpie, “Skeeter Werner Walker.” Her signature on the Nov. 21 issue is also a 10. The issue with Doak is ex+, and the issue with Skeeter, nm. Gladys “Skeeter” Werner Walker was the oldest child in the famous Werner family that included Olympians Buddy and Loris. She completed in the 1956 Olympics. She met Doak while teaching him to ski in 1968. Ironically, Doak died in 1998 of complications from injuries he received in a skiing accident. Skeeter died in 2001. Authenticated by Kevin Keating.
